For My Micro-Homies (slight brag post, LC)

95% of what I've learned about poker (and have posted on these boards) has been from Micro-Limits. Over the years I've been privileged to learn, discuss, debate and hopefully teach some poker with very bright individuals. I took an older post of mine and made it into this 2+2 magazine article -
Article

Also, Ed Miller's article on tilt is really, really good:

You know what's funny, I thought your name was Davelin, all one word, and that's how I would pronounce it in my head (like javelin). Off to read your article now.

fwiw i never would have thought of javelin with a d. that seems so weird to me. i have to think this is going to turn out about 8 or 9 to 1 for "dave lin as one word."

I always pronounced it "Dave Lin" in my head. I had been thinking, though, that the "lin" part was short for something. You learn something new every day, I suppose.

Good article. I think a lot of players do this instinctively (i.e. just call their marginally strong hands preflop) hoping to catch a favorable flop where they can then knock out draws. I guess this is more for the type of player who won't raise things like AKo, AQs, KJs, or 99 after a bunch of limpers because they see them as drawing hands at that point. Some examples would have helped, but I found it informative.
