JJ, 0.5-1,10max, Slow playing and min raising flopped set.

Villian is around 20-6 preflopp and pretty standard postflopp for a 0.5-1 multitabler, a little more to the passive side on his betting.

Could you say why? This is a hand from when I first tried out nl. When I went through the hand I thought it looked like a limit player playing nl. I had been playing limit fullring and 6 max before this.

I bet and raise bigger now, but not sure what would be correct bet sizes for this hand. Since he is staying he probably has an overpair, or AJo. And I dont' want to chase him away.

I'd raise the flop and lead the turn and river for 3/4PSB/PSB

That's the beauty and challenge of NL. You can build a big pot with a big hand. You've got a huge hand, so build a pot.

If he has an overpair or TPTK he very likely will get all in on the flop... let him. I'd raise that flop to $10 or so and hope to get all in there. If the flop were more draw heavy, I'd make a PSR.

As played.... repop him on the turn. He likes his hand and has "betting momentum". Let him keep building a pot with you as your hand is likely best.

EDIT: And stop minraising. On the turn instead of raising his $5 to $10, you could have raised to $15 or more. When he reraises, he has to raise more - right? That's building a pot.
