ATs, do I keep beting this?
Villian is 19.6/2.9/1.08 over 100 hands
I figured he had the Q because he had to think for a bit before calling this. But he could have just had a low pocket pair and was calling with that. I have trouble with these. Ultimate Bet 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 4 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, SB calls, 1 fold. Re: ATs, do I keep beting this?
no point in a river bet whatsoever. i really doubt the guy calls you with a worse T or 99 or lower very much at all, and he wont fold a better hand (basically a Q or K)
and to be honest, on such a drawless flop vs. a pretty tight passive opponent, you should check through on the turn hoping to improve. i would fold to a river bet unimproved. |
Re: ATs, do I keep beting this?
I would like to hear how others would play this. As played though I don't think the river is a value bet against this type of opponent.

Re: ATs, do I keep beting this?
I would check the river behind.
He probably has you beat so why put in another bet |
Re: ATs, do I keep beting this?
I thought about checking the turn and folding the river but he could be on a draw (could have JTs, AJ or something). If I didn't hit the T on the turn I would indeed check and fold the river if unimproved. But now you hit bet the turn, check the river and fold to a raise on the turn.

:Grunch:
This is a tough one for me to and where I think I may need help. Given his stats, he probably caught a piece of the flop and it is a coin toss on the river if he will fold. Given he called the semi-scary turn, I am checking behind on the river and would definitely check behind if he his VPIP is higher. I don't disagree with your river bet, you are giving him the chance the fold and am looking forward to others opionions. |
Re: ATs, do I keep beting this?
I figured he had the Q because he had to think for a bit before calling this.
I think you have to be really careful putting too much emphasis on how long people wait. Sometime I take ages coz I am having a sip of coffee, playing multi table or simply scratching my balls (can I say that on here) Grunch: I would bet it as you have and then check call the river. |
Re: ATs, do I keep beting this?
Well the pot is a very small one and looking at his stats he probably has you beat. So why put in 2 more BB with such a small pot if the chances you're beat are that big?

*Grunch*
"Do I keep betting this?" flop bet is OK and preferred Turn bet is read dependent (default is no) River bet, No. LLL |

In situations like this, I check behind. More often than not he won't call you unless he has you beat. Doc |
