Hollywood pokers $,1000 and Ipod Nano
 

According to the website this bonus features a 500% deposit match up to $1000 and it only takes 15 Poker Points per $1, for 60 days to clear. I really want the ipod nano that goes with the $1000 bonus. Those of you that have cleared a hollywood bonus before can you tell me the pros and cons of such a bonus. Is it hard to clear with Hollywood etc?

Unless you're playing high limits, that 15x bonus is gonna be a real bitch to clear. All the limits from 3/6 down have turned into rock gardens due to the recent bonuses, so the clearance rate at bonuswhores is probably a huge overestimate.

Do NOT take this bonus

It is 15x to clear, and that doesn't even mean 15x like some of us are accustomed to. By this, I mean we are not simply talking about 15,000 raked hands. At lower limits (.25/.5NL or even 1/2 Limit) this will take probably 50,000 or more hands.

In other words, if you just jump around taking good bonuses at 5x to 7x on other sites (including the 5x bonuses on Hollywood), then by the time you would have played a comparable amount of hands, you would have made $3000++ in bonuses and can just go buy 10 ipod nanos if you want.

I also believe that the bonus is good for the 60 days but in order to get the nano, you need to clear the bonus in 30 days!!! Good luck to that.

Go for the 200+200 at 5x from Hollywood poker via BH. Just did it and at 3-6 it clears in about 4 hours 4 tabling.

However Pokerroom is a strange place to play poker on, this is my second visit and I always get the feeling that the cards are juiced and that the average winning hand is quads.

If you play lower then 4 tables of 2/4 limit, don't do the bonus since it will take ages. Playing 4 tables of 2/4 or higher goes ok.

I just completed the Holdempoker (same network as Hollywood) $1000 sign-up bonus at 10x. It took me about 11.5K hands at NL200 and 2K hands at 3/6 FL (both full ring) to clear it. Really became a grind toward the end. But the bonus money was credited immediately and in my Neteller account in less than 12 hours.
