Sunglasses on the ground

I was walking my dog in the park today and I notice some sunglasses on the ground, they look like they might be pretty nice, and nobody is around that might be the owner. So I am thinking about whether or not I want to take these sunglasses, but I think I probably shouldn't because it would be bad karma and the owner might come back soon when he realizes he lost his sunglasses at the park.

This was around 3:00 and I was right across the street from Hoboken High so I see some black kids getting out of school and walking across the park. I know that if I don't take the glasses that these kids will. But I was paralyzed, and for some reason I didn't take them. The kids walk past, look at the glasses, look around for a second to see who is nearby, and then one of them picks them up and wears them home. This isn't a morality post to see if I should have taken them, because obviously I should have. I am mostly mad at myself because I could have a new pair of sunglasses right now, but some kid has them instead.

I did something worse. I was in line at Wal-Mart behind my little brother. After he paid, he dropped $20 because he is an absolute [censored]. I took it and bought myself sunglasses.

if the karma thing was a factor in your decision, as you said, then i don't see why you believe you did the wrong thing.

they aren't yours and had you never walked that way you'd never even know about them so don't sweat it.

Fact 1: The rightful owner, whether you take them or not, will never see them again.

Fact 2: You > those high school kid(s) that got the sunglasses.

Conclusion: You should have taken them instead.

u lose.

Save up your karma to purchase some ball implants.

It's critical that you mention that the kids were black. It all makes sense now. You should have followed them to KFC and discussed lost sunglasses over a bucket of extra crispy. After all, that's how they roll...

you didn't mention the car they'd have to steal to get to kfc and the 2 white girls they pick up and impregnate afterwards.

I'm pretty sure any kid, not only black, would have taken the glasses.

Beat me to it. Why in the world did you feel the need to mention that the kids who took the shades were black?

Obviously. If a black kid would wear them, you would have looked like a wigga in them.
