Microlimits infested by tight germans
 

While trying to build myself a new bankroll at the micros I was wondering why those tables where infested by so many tight and aggressive germans.

I found the answer yesterday. There's a german site named 'Pokerstrategy' operated by an English Ltd. It seems that this site advertises at universities throughout germany to cater players to party. It starts them off with a small bankroll and advice copied from the 2+2 books (they named their sources). This leads to (overly) tight and very aggressive play by these players trying to build their roll. I think it sucks as it makes building my bankroll tougher.

Just wanted to share in case someone else was wondering where all those tight germans are coming from.

As long as they stay away from 3/6 NL im happy.

Interesting, there's a guy who plays high limits on party named "pokstrategy2" from hamburg, I take it he's one of the founders...

That might well be the case. The seemingly founder claims to play in high limits and B&M events discussed on that site are often near hamburg.

Wait until the makers of the site have digested and translated the new NL book. You won't like it, I guess.

Hah, little do you know! .5/1 are small stakes in my terminology and way above my roll (and i suck at them .5BB/100)! I am talking about .05/.1, .1/.2, .25/.5 stars tables (I pwn these with 4.5BB/100@30k hands, and no it's not variance, it's ALL SKILL [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] ! These are infested by them due to a former bonus program of that site.

That's not really neccessary. Their strategy (even tighter than advocated by SSH & HPFAP) is well known, they are easily spotable, they don't defend their blinds, but they just don't bleed as many chips as LPPs whom I would prefer at the tables.
