AA, villain pushes all-in on river

villain was 40/10/2
not too aggressive but he's made some big bluffs before like pushing all-in with air when a 3rd flush card hit on the river. i had stacked him in this hand 15 minutes prior.

so for this hand, should i call it? only trips or a full house beats me. what hands would you put him on?

I call. I'd put him on either a jack, broken straight or flush draw.

I don't think I can fold given what you've posted. Do you honestly think he was calling down with a 5?

Re: AA, villain pushes all-in on river

pre-flop: fine

flop: fine

turn: I'd rather check, as this villain seems like the type to raise the flop with a flushdraw. Therefore, I'm not too worried about giving free cards, and get to keep the pot relatively small. Since he only called your turn bet, I see no reason to believe he has anything better than a pair (AJ-TJ, KJ-QJ, TT, 88, etc). The same rationale would probably apply if he had checked the turn behind you.

river: why such a small bet? If this is a value bet, don't you think you can get paid more than 20.00? Or, did you realize that you had built a larger pot than you would've liked, but decided to bet anyway to avoid appearing weak?

Based on the manner in which you built the pot (and the 2.4-1 pot-odds), you're forced to call the river bet. This isn't so bad, as there's a good chance you're best here.
