Re: $11, 88 on the bubble
I can't tell what the blinds are, but... it looks sorta like you minraised? Blinds 200/400? First of all...don't minraise, that's crap. And after SB's call, I would check/fold that flop. I don't think he's actually loose enough to be calling top 1/3 of hands. He's gonna call your raise with Q8? JT? That's very loose. Regardless, I'm folding that flop. No need to risk your stack when he's already put out that hefty overbet.

Yeah he ended up calling with A9 and hit an ace on the turn... I figured he was semi-bluffing but he took by the end. Is there never at all a time when I should be minraising?

Re: $11, 88 on the bubble
Option 1: fold the flop.
Option 2: raise to 1200. Option 3: raise all-in. Option 4: minraising. I would choose option 2 only if I am pretty sure a) sb and bb are able to fold b) are only reraising all-in QQ+, AK and not (especially bb with crap) because he does know that we will fold a lot. I would choose Option 3 only if I think SB and BB are able to fold at least a bit (like KJs) - and I guess this is already questionable at the 11sp. I would choose option 1 if I am generally running bad and the blinds go up soon and I can better start pushing then, creating before a more tight table image... something that is questionable at the 11sp too... I would never choose option 4. Overall: 1/3 pushing, 1/3 raising to 1200, 1/3 folding I guess... |
Re: $11, 88 on the bubble
min raise will work heads up if you opponent isnt calling.....if he calls all your min raises the raise 3 times........if if calls that .......just limp in.
I like min raising at the start of heads up to try and get a feel for my opponent. Other than heads up I never really min raise. Maybe to steal blinds if the blinds are high enough. 400/800, 600/1200 |
