Can somebody name a good note-taking software to use on sites that don't offer that feature?

If you just want an alphabetized list of usernames and a spot to jot notes, you could just use a spreadsheet (excel, etc).

If you want this to interface with the client, you'll probably have to be more specific about WHICH client. (And it's unlikely this exists.)

It's for Boss Media poker sites (Celebpoker, Pokerheaven, etc.). If there's software that interfaces with that, I'd be interested in it.

I'm a novice when it comes to using Excel, and the problem I have with it is that I can't figure out how to add on to comments for a player. It seems as though the whole field has to be done from scratch. Is there another spreadsheet that's more friendly or a way to change the field properties in Excel so that it doesn't automatically want to blank out a field whenever it's changed?

Have you tried the Insert Comment feature? That works for me, although I readily admit it's klunky.
