Gigabet - A class act

I watched some of the episode last night and I have greater respect for Darryl than I did previously. Things that I noticed about him.

He is respectful - he doesn't have to resort to overtly berating other players. He lost to Brunson when he was way ahead and simply said "Good hand Mr. Brunson"

Emotionally detached - This guy plays his game, makes his decisions and lets the cards fall as they may. He doesn't jump out of his chair and act a fool like a lot of these characters. He has confidence in his correct decisions and there is nothing else to do.

Thoughtful, strategic, calculated - When you read gigabets stuff, you need to digest, regurgitate, and re-digest to really understand what he is getting at. This guy understands strategy on all levels and can execute on them at every level. He underestand odds, he understands risk management better than anyone.

I really think that we are going to see a lot from gigabet, it is my opinion that Gigabet will quietly emerge as a poker star who's celebrity becomes secondary.

Yes. Even if he's gay (like they say) it doesn't matter. He's the real deal.

I agree with the things you said, but if I am not mistaken, he said "good hand Mr. Brunson" on the AK vs. AJ hand.

I like how the OP, from about 6 or so hands was able to figure all that out about gigabet

It looked to me like his hands were shaking whenever he pushed his chips in a big pot. Honestly though, he didn't strike me as being much of anything. If it hadn't been for Renhe (or whatever the hell his name was) not playing anything except the monsters for most of the show Gigabet would have been the least noticed there.

I'm pretty sure he's not gay.

I dunno about his bankroll, but it doesn't really matter for him since he is backed in tournaments.

The only real-live name that was ever actually offered up as evidence is Scott Fischman. Here's a PM I got from Scott when I asked him about the subject (back when he was hanging around here arguing with the apes in the monkey house and plugging his site):

<<<>>>
From: scottfischman

well i have only been reading the [censored] they write about me..and i hate doing that anyway,,,,there is no way i am gonna spend time reading about giga....all i can say is...i am still good friends with him...he is a GENIUS!! with out any doubt...and ANY post he has EVER made you should def apply to your own game...not to mention re-reading it like 8 times cuz i know he can be somewhat in depth and confusing at times... his intelligence and dedication to the game far outweigh that of ANY other player.
PS i am not too handy with the way this works...is there anyway that you can put your question to me about giga and then add my reply to it...and add it to where they do all the shittalking....then send me a link so i can find it? thanks man
<<<>>>

You know this is him because there's no way I could make up that writing style. So I'm not saying Giga didn't rip anyone off. But all I've ever heard is one concrete name, and that person seems to bear no ill will. Make of it what you will.

I'd be sure its him because he rarely used capital letters when he wrote. Another thing thats points to the fact that Fischman is still friends with him is that he made a thread when Giga won the circuit event, which took place about 2 weeks after the Giga's busto thread, saying that he wasn't broke and that he was basically happy for him. He really seemed to be siding with him against the haters.

Ahh EL D as the source. I had forgot about that thread. EL D really missed his calling. Im sure he knows where Osama is located, the truth behind UFOs, how much wood a woodchuck can chuck and many other things of interest. Maybe the FBI is still hiring
