Note: I was too lazy to rehost.

Whenever this question is posed, it should be mandatory that this is included:

Is it cliche to say "Other side"?
It is a great cd to go to bed to.

Dark side of the moon, wish you were here and animals were always the three big ones for me, but I I've certainly spent plenty of time listening to the wall, saucerful of secrets, meddle, pipers at the gates of dawn, final cut... They are probably the band with the largest number of albums that I really like.

FWIW, I like the Final Cut. It is not as good as their really good albums, but it is something I put on once in a while and always find it interesting to listen to. Not like, say, Momentary Lapse of Reason, which is something I never have an interest in sitting through.

Re: Your Favorite Pink Floyd Album

For sure- Animals is awesome! You can just let the entire album play- its very good.

Dark side is classic too- but too many tracks are played out on the radio.

I love listening to animals when im drunk- and i finally found a jukebox with Dogs on it- I played it back to back (doubleclicked by mistake) in a crowded bar, creating over 20 minutes of listening pleasure for myself. But, unforunteatly its got a bit of down tone to it, and the entire bar was pissed when it restarted again. Their loss....they wouldnt know good music if it was outside taking a dump on the hood of their car.

At least only one person said The Wall, which could possibly be worse than The Final Cut.

^^ You must be smoking crack rocks if you think The Final Cut > The Wall. That said, my favorite is Wish You Were Here, with Animals and Meddle tied for 2nd. Hmmm time to go to listen to one of these.

I found a CD of Meddle somewhere ridiculous (like in the trash or on the street) a long time ago. It's my favorite that I can think of.

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Only 'cause I'm fond of the '60s. And lunatics.

Animals, No Contest!

"Animals" I have to say is probally the best album of all time!!
I absolutly love listening to "Wish you were here" on vinyl, but "Welcome to the Machine" just feels out of place. "Darkside" is great, but its all singles and "Meddle" awesome but they had a little too much acid during that one. Animals has the best flow to it and it is a complete work of art. Each song compliments the next, a musical masterpiece.

Perfection!!

This was in the movie version of The Wall, but not the album. Later it was added to The Final Cut:

"[The Final Cut was reissued in a remastered edition in 2004. This edition added "When the Tigers Broke Free" — originally heard in the soundtrack to The Wall, but its moody, war-obsessed soundscape is better suited for The Final Cut — as the fourth track, inserted between "One of the Few" and "The Hero's Return," where it fits nicely into the album's narrative.]"

None. It was written for the Wall but wasn't on the album. I think it was in the movie, though. It was finally released on CD with their greatest hits album: Echoes

My fave is Wish You Were Here with Animals a close second.
