*OFFICIAL* MTT Team Challenge (May 2006) DRAFT ELIGIBILITY THREAD

I thought I'd get this thread started**.

In this thread, make a post if you want to be eligible for the Team Challenge Draft. If you're unfamiliar with the MTT Team Challenge, read this.

What to include in your post:

1) Pstars name

2) Declare* what category you play in a majority of the time. Here are the categories:

Category A: $0-$10
Category B: $11-$99
Category C: $100+

For consistancy, count rebuy tourneys as 5x their base buyin.

3) Would you be willing to captain/draft a team? (Cat C players only).

4) Volume of play. (est. tourneys played for month of May)

For example, my post is as such -->

1) Zipster
2) Category A
3) No.
4) 40.

*Many of you will fit into a variety of categories. Pick only one category for this, and make it whichever category you play a majority of your MTTs in.

**Jur, feel free to lock this or edit it if you'd like the information to be different in some way.

I think we should wait for Jurollo to do this, one cook in the kitchen and all, keep things organized.

Mi_T_Sharp 04-17-2006 05:16 PM

Re: MTT Team Challenge (May 2006) DRAFT ELIGIBILITY THREAD

Why are you stepping on Jurollo's toes here? HE said he would do it, and it's taking a little while....don't you think there might be a reason for that? If it was this simple, he would've written this thread already.

fwiw i think it's fine he posted it, just saving justin some time, we don't have to put all the burden on him. and we all know it's his project so no one is stealing his thunder. Plus he can edit this post if anynthing was wrong about it

I know. I wasn't trying to be an azz, and I'm sure everyone appreciates your enthusiam and initiative, as do I. However, since it's his contest, and he said he would make a thread, this seems a little counterproductive, because now people might have to post similar info in 2 threads. That's all. Don't take my post as a flame or anything...

we're missing some critical information here - at least how much you plan to play, possibly more stuff too (like if you plan on playing multiple levels)

1) Pechorin
2) C
3) Whatever; I would do it, but I doubt I have the requisite in-depth MTT forum knowledge to draft what would be an optimal team.

Edit: I will also play B events, like my old favorites. the $11rs.

Edit: I will probably play a ton.

I actually left out volume of play intentionally because Jurollo posted in the main thread that only name and category would be in the draft thread (in the official rules post, i think). I do think it'd be good to list volume, but I just tried to make the thread how J seemed to outline it.

but that information is like... absolutely necessary to make remotely fair teams.

Laffo, it said 5x buyin, though, which is about 10 buyins short of what I plan on spending for each one

Wait if you're category c what happens when you play lower buy ins? Do they not count towards the team pts?

agreed. I modified the post, and have a feeling this thread may be locked so jurollo can make a far supieror thread.

I was under the impression that they do?

they do. picking a category is only for the purposes of drafting balanced teams.

C) Sure
D) Umm... probably a lot, despite (because) of the fact that my finals are smack in the middle. I'd estimate um... 60-100? I dunno.

C) No thanks
D) roughly 10-15 a week
