Best Buffet In Vegas?
 

Leaving today for my first time ever and I'm trying not to kill myself paying for food(saving for checkraises)...suggestions on the best less expensive places would be greatly appreciated

Finding a good buffet in Vegas is like finding an alligator in alligator alley..There is plently of meat around everywhere!

Aladdin is my favorite but I would not call it cheap.


Gold Coast has a dirt cheap buffet that is Gold for the money. Orleans is also cheap but very decent IMHO.


Ask about food comps where you are going to play. They can range from zero/nada for poker players to a full meal comped (if you are in the right place at the right time).

Aladdin buffet really is great. I went to a few other and it was by far the nicest. I did not go to the ones at the nicer casino's though like bellagio or the Wynn. It was 25 dollars for dinner when I was there, but with the price of food everywhere I thought it was well worth it.

My favorite is the Paris buffet. Reason being I love some crab legs, but the trouble for anybody that has eaten them is that they are a lot of work. However, the Paris buffet has them split in half so no work.

Also,they have big shrimp that would normally be peel and eat, but they are already peeled. They have some really good french dishes and awesome deserts. I think it is like 26 bucks, but worth every penny.

Since you're looking for cheap, not good, any joint that is 2nd tier on the strip ( in other words, NOT Bellagio, Wynn, etc.) will stuff you up like Belushi in Animal House for the price of a modest bet. If inhaling the most calories for the least amount of cash is the objective, then you'll find plenty of choices. For the more interesting chow-til-you-barf experiences try Rio, Paris or Aladin.

If you like Sushi try the Todai restaurant back in the shops behind the Aladdin casino. All you can eat sushi, tempura, crab legs (alaskan, maryland blue, and Dungeness). There's also a little but of non japanese food there, but they offer 8-10 different rolls like tuna, spicy salmon, shrimp tempura, and spider. Their sushi selection is amazing as well: tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, red snapper, flounder, baby flounder, red giant clam, yellowtail, octopus, squid, and a few others. They also offer salmon and tuna sashimi. All washed down with a Kirin light, I thought it was a great buy for $27 on a weekend. Lunch is about $17 and weekday is about $23.

I'm a sushi guy and was a little skeptical of a sushi buffet, but the food is fresh and turnover is very fast. I was impressed. I'd give the nigiri about 8 out of 10. Rolls 9 out of 10.

Agreed. It's somewhere around the 4th best buffet, maybe even lower. Wynn, Paris, Bellagio are all much better. I'd also prefer the Mirage to the Aladdin.

I am serious. The fish was very fresh, tasted very good. The only problem I had was with the rice. I don't know what they used, but it wasn't great. It was mixed with vinegar and salt and sugar, but the quality of the rice was a little lacking. Other than they didn't put wasabi on any pieces, it was just fine. The octopus was especially good. The sashimi was fine, can't get any better than fresh raw fish. The rolls were great as long as you got them quickly after they were made.

I agree the Paris buffet is one of the best buffets in Vegas for orginality and selection. The Wynn buffet is okay, desserts are very good, but not worth the wait. Stay away from the Sahara and the Stardust, and older casinos buffets. If you want find out what other people rate the buffets go to www.a2zlasvegas.com.

best sushi buffet hands down is Sushi Mon. Its kinda far off the strip. There are two locations, one of which is on Sahara I believe. It is around 25 a person but well worth it. Not only is it buffet, it is probably some of the best sushi ive had and I really love sushi

The highest rated LV buffets (according to Casino Player) when I went there were Bellagio, Aladdin, Rio, and Paris (Wynn wasn't rated yet, it had just opened).

We hit them all except Bellagio. Paris had, by far, the longest line. But they also had a great selection. The Rio had an even more eclectic selection, though I don't think the food quality was quite as high (though it was still quite good). I was disappointed with Aladdin. But that also probably had to do with the time we got there (just before they closed the lunch buffet).

HELL YES!!! The one at Silverad/South Maryland is AMAZING!! This also has to be one of the busiest sushi joints I'v ever been to.

On a side not to the OP: The South Coast has a VERY good for the price buffet for lunch/dinner. 7.95 and 9.95 respectively I believe, unless you go on seafood night or prime rib night.

Hmmm I just moved to Silverado and South Maryland. When I get my car fixed maybe I'll take myself over there. DO they have items that non-fish-eating vegetarians can eat? I am not a vegetarian, but my family members are.

Downtown- The Seafood buffet at the Fremont is very good and includes lobster claws. I think it is only on certain nights.

Stay away from anyplace that attracts families with a lot of snotty nose little kids (read cheap price) that touch everything with their snotty nose little fingers.

I used to like the Rio on Sat. and Holidays becaused they raised the price from 3.99 to 8.99 and that kept the snotty noses away. Presidents Day, a holiday, had a lot of arguments at the cash drawer when mom showed up with 8 kids. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Of course that was a few years ago.

All these buffets are fairly priced and reasonable food:

Stardust
Any stations casino that doesn't have the word PALACE in it.
Any of the COASTS sans Barbary (no buffet)
Riviera
Sam Boyd's Freemont Street (across from 4 Queens)
Main Street Station
Plaza (it's listed as Chinese, but I got unlimited steak in there twice for $8)

Good but too much $:
Luxor
Aladdin

I have had Wynn's and it's not worth $30, sorry.

Not well thought of buffets:
Circus Circus
Palace Station (smallest excuse for a buffet EVER)
Sahara
