how good are the advice ont his forum?

After reading this forum for a few months i found a lot of good advice, but also a lot of bad advice. What do you think about the general posts on the high stakes forum?

lol. I'd heard all this stuff about you so I watched you play yesterday at party. It was fun when you took one guy's money, and he went all crazy, saying something like: 'I never won in my life and now for the first time I win anything and I lose it all in ten minutes.' And then you say 'yep, now I can buy me a nice pair of shoes'.

You have to remember, players like myself don't post 100% of what's going on in our head while playing. If we did we'd give away TOO much and the posts would turn into novels.

It's true, I would expect it to be true from any winning NL player. I would be very surprised if it wasn't true from you, and every other winning player on here.

I'm sorry, my original post wasn't suppose to be a "brag" or act like I'm god's gift to poker. I was just trying to tell the OP why many threads are so short/ not in depth.

As far as what I/many if not all others "leave out" I would need a specific hand. But I don't think I've ever put 100% of my "thought process" into any hand on 2+2. The only times I think I've ever talked to someone 100% of what I'm thinking is my poker coach. He's better than me so can understand 100% of what I think, plus he won't EVER flame me for my opinion/short falls (which 2+2 is quick to do), plus there's just not enough time to write it all down, plus many of my opponets know my screenname and read what I write so I don't want to just give them my whole thinking process.

people don't put down 100% of their thoughts but thats just because a lot of the time its too hard to verbalize all of their thoughts

as far as giving too much away, i think almost all of the time thats BS

I still honestly don't know what's so funny about this. First off it's true. Second off, this is another reason I only talk to my "coach" about my serious mess ups (I also learn the most from the seriously bad mess ups) cause people like you are so quick to flame.

I actually understand Rika's point. Unless you take an incredible amount of time in a psot, it's inevitable info gets let out of a hand post.

Rika,

"Second off, this is another reason I only talk to my "coach" about my serious mess ups"

This is IMO the #1 difference between guys who use 2+2 to become top players and the rest. The good players who post their serious mess ups to 2+2 often end up becoming the toughest players around.

Re: how good are the advice ont his forum?

There are some things that I wont talk about, but this is mostly my bluffing frequencies and betting tendencies, because it has nothing to do with the analysis of the hand from Villians perspective.

Generally, when you post a hand, there is no reason to hold anything back.

There was that one Cardshark thread where alot of people here were making some bad judgements that i just couldnt help but leave alone.

Rika,

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummm, I guess I am. I don't really care who people are, I just look at their stats on PA Hud and that's how I play vs. them, so wether you are or not doesn't matter when I play vs. you.

Why I was asking though, was because I played with Sushi_Da last month A LOT! So if Sushi_Da was making fun of me for playing 5/10, I was just going to point out that I know he played over 4,000 hands last month vs. me at 5/10, so it's like the pot calling the kettle black.

the hands you post $5/$10, and the $5/$10 hands i post, arent that complicated that you have to hold back your thoughts.

$5/$10 party is pretty basic.

get it?

Yes I agree, the 5/10 hands I've posted are pretty simplistic/don't require much thought, just looking for others points of view/ insight.

The real thinker hands, are ones between two good players. And those hands are so read dependant, posting them is pretty much is usless. (you just can't put into words all the thoughts going through your head)

The "stakes" don't matter though. I would say some of the "craziest moves" both I've used, and put on me were at $3/$6 NL between me and acehistation, it's not limits that matter, but rather opponets.

Regarding when I comment on other people's hands, not my own. I post simple/non read dependant hands. Other people who post hands vs. non thinking opponets I post 100% of what I think they should do, if they post a hand vs. a thinking opponet (like a 22/12 6 max NL player), then I post maybe 50% of what is actually going through my head.
