Is it? Looks to me like, at least ITM, big stack would often call enough to make this -EV or at the least very close. Did you run it through SNGPT? I'm too lazy.

Re: I know it\'s +$EV to push this....

Its a really close call, so I would lean towards folding. You havent given us any reads at all, so it is hard to really give advice on this. K5o is about a 53% favorite over a random hand. I really dont like the idea of stealing blinds against the big stack with something this mediocre, but thats just me.

Even as a maniac BB it's +0.7, 25% it's +0.5.

I'm getting a neutral EV at 22% call range (33+,A3o+,A2s+,KJo+,KTs+,QJs), whih is just a tad tighter than maniac (doesn't include 22). Since I think a lot of players will be calling at least 22%, it's a safe fold.

Re: I know it\'s +$EV to push this....

At 22% I still get +0.7.

You're blind discounting (which may be appropriate).

I think I fold this mostly because the small stack will have half his chips in next hand with a random hand, and you'll have pot odds to call his push with anything, and that spot will be clearly +EV as where this one is very marginally +EV at best.

I get 0.3% for maniac, 0.1% for 25%.

That's not a sufficient edge to motivate me to push that hand with the 2xBB stack up to pay the BB next.

Is that advice, or harassment?

I think this is an easy push. SB isn't calling enough here imo. You're also going to be ahead of BB's range too. No way I pass this up with blinds at 250/500.

it's advice based solely on the title of my post and my knowledge of your style from other read posts.

scuba,

citanul's point is mainly that if you think it's +$EV then you should push.

That's what it's all about, right? Profit bitch!

Yugoslav
Who would push fwiw. unless BB had shown maniacal calling standards.

Re: I know it\'s +$EV to push this....

I think I'd fold this most of the time, depending on reads which isn't saying much. There is a lot I could say which is not worth typing out about getting ITM, then getting HU, but I just think you are in a position to get HU and in the meantime take advantage of picking up some chips when you have a clear advantage.

ICM ITM is not nearly the same as ICM on the bubble.

What about just calling and playing some postflop poker? Is that out of the question?

what do you use SNGPT for if not to play and push when it is $EV? If its plus $EV, its plus $EV. shoveit.

It should be. Calling standards are different tho.

Re: I know it\'s +$EV to push this....

I will get back to you on this...

But if you look at some of your ITM hands on SNGPT and what is +EV I think you'll feel differently.

Re: I know it\'s +$EV to push this....

The thing is if you fold and the shorty wins next hand when he gets all in he's pretty much even with you. The short stack isn't short enough that you should post into second so you have to make the plus ev move and push.

This only assumes your blinds are ALWAYS attacked.
