Re: 2006 Goals Post
-Go from lurking here (I think I've read every post since april) to post more often.
-Calculate the avg number of "fold preflop"-comments a HH generates during the month of February. -Add at least one non-Swedish PLO-player playing at 0.5/1 or above to my IM contact list -Figure out why the dumbest plays always wins the biggest pots at Party. -Go on one of those crazy rushes with 10+ buyins. I never do that, despite averaging over 20PTBB/100 playing at the lower limits (I just moved up to 1/2) |

Figure out why the dumbest plays always wins the biggest pots at Party. [/ QUOTE ] This one is easy... It usually takes at least one mistake to generate a monsterously large multiway pot. Then, when the player who got in drawing super thin sucks out, you think, "Why does this never happen to me!" and remember the awful beat you just took. When the best hand wins in these situations, all you do is think, "Mwahaha, what a fish!" and promptly forget about it after you add him to your buddy list. If you generally refrain from putting your money in drawing very thinly, you will always take more bad beats than you give. Also, online poker is rigged! |

Re: 2006 Goals Post
I am gonna add a goal, never play a hand on pokerstars again since that is the only site that i am not showing a profit on. So now the client is uninstalled and the password scrambled and i actually managed to save $377 from being tilted away.

Re: 2006 Goals Post
So I took one of my "semi-breaks" from poker (aka, i played out of of my bankroll again and am broke) so here are my goals for 2006:
1) Cash over $1000 in a tournament (which i happened to do 2 days ago on Party 30+3 [PLO8], made me mad happy, but unfortunetly i split the buy-in with someone else so i only made +$500 so i need to try and cash again over 1g) 2) Play within my bankroll, this has always been a big problem with me, especially as a college student, I just cant ignore the bigger stakes although I cant afford them. 3) Stick to PLO or PLO8, I'm trying to ween myself away from the whole HE thing because I like the more odds and math of PLO and PLO8. 4) Go to Vegas in the summer. As I am turning 21 soon, I am going to go to AC and then to LV for the summer where im hoping to not donk it up completely. 5) Get into some nice Law schools (hopefully i will be okay with spending 3 years of my life getting f'd in da behind to come out and make a starting salary of $125 000) 6) Make a ton of money (this is my dream, i hope it starts tomorrow as i enter another tournament that is out of my br... but its live and these guys are donks) |
