Liebert\'s big mouth?
 

Did anyone esle think Kathy Liebert was way out of line when she asked Ricky "You have ace jack?!" while he was contemplating a big call? She's out of the hand; she shouldn't say anything to either player, never mind implying that she had AJ or better.

You're right. She shouldn't have said anything. However, she seemed to notice that she just made a mistake right after saying it. She could have though he already called. However it happened, she made a mistake. It happens.

I disagree that what she did tells him she had AJ or better though.

I just watched it again, she's standing when he makes the 'can you beat AJ' commment, she leans in and says 'AJ, you have?' then sits and shrugs loudly and kind of flips up her hands. From Ricardo's perspective it could just as easily have meant 'Get it all-in! I can't you haven't called yet with AJ, I would have called in a flash!' (and it's right after this that he nods and calls fairly confidently).

In any case, she obviously shouldn't have said anything, as I'm sure she knows.

EDIT: Also, Ricardo is fairly surprised after the card turn up and Liebert tells him they had the same hand. If he had the impression she folded an A he would have asked her right after he called.

I actually think she thought Ricardo had folded.

"Ace Jack you had?" as if asking if that's what he mucked. (I'm pretty sure she said 'had' instead of 'have')

I'm not a fan of hers, but I think that's what happened here.

Do you really think anyone is going to come on here and dispute this? Honestly, a worthless thread because basically everyone knows dont talk about the hand. If someone had done this to Liebert it woulda been WWIII. I swear she gets on my nerves, seems like every show I see her on she is complaining about someone or something.

Edit: The fact that she is unattractive doesn't help

I've sat next to her in a couple tournies. She's a really sweet lady with a good sense of humor and very personable.

Ricardo deserved to win it, he played great.

Her big mouth is essential for her big appetite and waistline. I read on Cardplayer that after she apologized for the outburst, she asked Linda Johnson to comp the two of them SEVERAL buffets. So she's not only fat and rude, but cheap to boot.

Kathy is preetty chatty at the table.

A few years ago we were in the WPT main event at Foxwoods, and there were a number of other folks at the table who she knew, so she was going a mile a minute.....

Nothing out of line, now....just being a chatterbox.

I was sitting directly to her right, and a asked her if she was interested in making a wager.

I told her I'd bet her 10 bucks that she could not stay at the table for 5 minutes without speaking.

She thought for about five seconds, smiled, and said she'd take the bet.

Five minutes, and not a word from Kathy later, I forked over the 10 bucks.

Told her that it was the best 10 bucks that I had spent in a while....all this in jest, mind you.

We all had a laugh, and the game went on.

Kathy is fine....she has her moments, as do the rest of us, and is not shy at all in speaking up if she thinks something is not right.

That may rub some folks the wrong way, but it shouldn't.

If you're forming your opinion only from what you've seen on TV, remember that creative editing can really alter reality.

Actually she did basically the same thing to me at the PPM last year. Out of the hand, and she made a comment about me playing too aggressively when she was out of the hand and another guy was thinking about how to respond to my raise.

That being said, other than that, she was really cool, funny and personable.
