Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
I'm at Mini-Step 5 on Party and am wondering if there is a way to cash this out. I tried registering and unregistering but it just returns my freeroll. It's $430 and I would rather take the money than risk it. Any help appreciated.

Re: Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
if you could just cash them out for money, dont you think everybody would be doing that?
there is no possible way to convert them into money, that is the entire [censored] point of the steps tourneys, otherwise they would just be sit and gos with really [censored] weird payouts. |
Re: Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
Dude, lose the attitude. Why is it so hard to post a question on here without getting flamed?
To answer your expletive infested question, no, I don't think "everybody would be doing that." |
Re: Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
I don't personally play the mini-Steps anymore (due to lack of time) but I'm actually glad Party doesn't give a cashout option. Less players would play higher levels & longer to actually even have a game going especially at Step 5, I'd imagine?
It is the same parallel as getting a qualifier seat to a larger satellite but not able to cash out (i.e. Super Qualifier, Saturday qualifer, Sunday qualifer, 750K qualifier). It goes to your list of freerolls for future use. Of course, if an "event" expires, I don't know if Party gives out the cash equivalent or says "too bad". Though, I have been reading about Stars's T$ "Tournament Dollars" as I didn't pay attention to it in the past. I realized this is one GREAT way to balance out the decision to "cash out from tournament qualifiers or SNG qualifiers" or to play out the expected tourney. Of course, for Party Steps, it is an unique format & I think it's best to just play out your free entry(ies). Who knows, maybe you'll get into top 5 for any cash back, and since you have worked your way up, perhaps it means you can also reach the nice top 3 prizes for much lower risks (as in not plopping down $430 to begin with for a flat payout to top 5)? Good luck, * CalvinTy |

Since I'm so privileged to be in the presence of such a genius, I have some other questions for you... Should I go pro ? Is online poker rigged ? Why do sad lonely people think they'll feel better by flaming on message boards ? |
Re: Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
OP is right.
Elliott, it would be nice if people were a little more civil to each other. Just because it's a stupid question to you doesn't mean other people aren't wondering about it. If you don't have anything nice to say, just don't bother. Ryan |

Dude mini step 5 is horrible as is step 5, expect nine players still there with 200-400 blinds.

Re: Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
Seriously Sooth. People around here get frustrated when you ask questions that you can easily find the answer to. Here are two ideas, email party support or check the Partpoker webpage. Either one will give you the answer.
But so you dont have to do that. No, no you cant cash out your freerolls. |
Re: Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
You can't cash these in. The only ones can be cashed is the WSOP freerolls if won within a short period of time of when they discontinue them. This happened to me last year they sent me the $1080 cash for an unused freeroll.
Best solution is to get someone to play the $430 for you. It's too easy to make mistakes when you are concerned about the money. |

If you have at least a 2nd grade education you can probably read the subject line and determine if it's worth your precious time to read the post. Or you can just be arrogant and insulting. If I'm being considerate enough to give you the info in the subject line then I don't really see a reason to get "frustrated", unless you have some other personal issues. And the part about finding out accurate info from Party support - lmao - yeah right. |
Re: Can I cash in my Party Steps freeroll ?
Sure anyone who wants to can avoid this post based on the subject line. Or you could get off your ass and look up the answer in less time than it took to ask the question.
BTW Party Support gives accurate answers for simple questions, and this is a SIMPLE question. |

To explain, Einstein, I was thinking that perhaps I could get an exception due to the recent change in tournament structure (I don't like it). Grasping at straws, yes - but not something that checking the website would tell me. And after just taking a stab to see if there were any outs here, I get flamed for it - because you were too lazy to read or comprehend the subject line. Do all of us inferior newbie rookies a favor and post a sticky with what 7 or 8 topics we're actually allowed to ask about on this precious board - it would be such a shame to put you through the horrific misery of reading something that doesn't strike intrigue in your obviously superior intellect. |

I posted the issue on another forum and they were very nice - I got a suggestion to call Party and speak to a manager and tell him my situation. I did this, and after about 20 minutes and 3 support people I finally ended up getting it cashed. Made my day. Instead of being told what a stupid question it was, we did some out of the box thinking and got it done. Good to know that not every site has so many regulars that need lessons in kindness and respect. Gotta go - lunch is on me. |
