Screwing Someone Over Spectacularly
 

Suppose you want to screw someone over hard. I mean really, really hard. How would you go about it?

I have a simple battle plan and will post it Thurdsday 3/16/06 in the afternoon. Can OOT do better? We'll see.

Post your best strategy. And I am not talking about tying dead dogs to bumpers. You have to do much worse. Jail time or moderate injury should be a reasonable expectation. A guaranteed bankruptcy would be sufficient.

My goal is to show how easy it would be for an average person (or government group) with a good strategy to completely hose another with relatively minor risk.

Acquiring SS numbers is far, far easier than most people think, and is probably the easiest way to go about doing something like this.

I think it depends on what kind of access you have to them. For example, if you have relatively easy access to a computer mostly associated with them, doing something like planting child pornography on it seems like it would be incredibly destructive.

Check their trash at the end of the day for credit card receipts, especially if you see they made a purchase at lunch or opened personal mail at the office.

Buy enough coke so that it's technically "intent to distribute" and plant it in his car, using the lockpicking skills that people teach right here on OOT. Then you call the police from a payphone somewhere across town, masking your identity and not leaving any prints.

The most important thing, when buying this coke, you must buy it in smaller increments than the whole "intent to distribute" mass. If you try to find that much in one sitting, the only people willing to sell it to you will be undercover cops.

I haven't applied for a cc in a while, but I'm pretty sure ss# in the only "non-public" information that you need on an application.

Get alot of their personal information and put it where-ever you can find it. Photo copy it and leave it laying around for identity theft.

You need to cook it up into crack first (a relatively simple and safe process by my understanding) in order to greatly increase his sentence.

Sometimes on a credit card application they confirm your place of employment.

As to possession with intent to distribute, that can depend substantially on how it is packaged. Even small amounts can get you, if they are divided up into a bunch of small sellable units. A random weight or number in larger amounts can be not nearly as damaging to be caught with.

Assuming you are pretty close to the person and that they have a little Arab or Muslim blood in their background, you could do the following. It would probably have to be a roomate or something to make this all work. Also most ideal if your victim is a foreign national.

1) Use his computer to surf websites that would make him appear sympathetic to Al Qaeda. Post inflammatory political statements from his computer to various websites. Also visit websites that explain bomb making, that discuss the vulnerabilities of nuclear facilities, that have subway or other infrastructure plans, etc.

2) Send his resume to apply for jobs at nuclear facilities, port authorities, perhaps immigration jobs, anything suspicious.

3) Before he is scheduled to fly somewhere, sprinkle gunpowder lightly on his shoes and his bags. Sew a small pocket Koran and knife into the lining of his bag. Fold a tattered page of paper that vaguely and incompletely describes plans that involve the location of other participants and a bomb. If you could get this into arabic that would be ideal.

4) Before he leaves for the airport, call the FBI terrorist hotline. Tell them you suspect he is planning on bringing the plane down, but that they should be really careful since he is carrying concealed weapons and is trained in martial arts.

5) Next call the press. Make yourself available for interviews, when he gets picked up tell the press how much time he spent last summer in Kazakhstan (or someplace similar) and how he has never been the same since, with weird friends, etc.

I am sure others can improve on the details. I think something like this would be tough to recover from. There is a chance he might just get shot, and there will be enough going on that he will be in for a real investigation.

tricking the guy into killing his own wife and kids would be pretty harsh. i can't come up with a plan right now but i imagine PCP would be involved. bonus points if his wife is pregnant.

Doesn't bankruptcy only screw you for 7 years? Not to mention that I think going to serious prison is probably going to be far worse than having no credit.

Why are you so interested? If you've ever opened a bank account, you'd realize how easy it is - with an SS# all you need is their basic info and you can open up accounts, transfer money, get credit cards, etc.
