Bob Stupak is a joke; he doesnt know his ass from his face. What was that garbage he was saying about Mimi Tran being the best player besides him. Nothing on Mimi and I am not even sure who the best player in that game is, but he sounded like a retarded moron.

Regarding his status in vegas, yes, I know who he is. I don't think he should have been on the show though.

you answered your own question as to why he is on the show

A fish? An old guy with money?

This is the makeup of a real high stakes game. Some top flight pros, a rich amateur or two to feed the game and some lower tier pros taking their shot at the big game. I don't know how much the appearance fee is but unless it over 100,000 dollars which is the least you could buyin for it would -EV for some of Stupaks skills to risk that losing at least that much to earn less then that in appearance fees. I don't see how GSN can make the players gamble more with thier on money in a cash game a tournaments structure does that for them.

Not really when you consider in all the hands played, he played 1 hand, AA. I'm guessing he won't play anything but those 2 hands and he'll raise so much preflop with them that anyone would be wrong to call. Then he stands to ante a little, if he gets lucky make a score (like he did) and then make a small profit, plus the appearance fee.

IN 1995 Bob was in an absolutely horrific motorcycle accident and he broke every bone in his face and was in a coma for period of time, and the doctors did not think he would live. This is why his face looks the way it does.

Bob Stupak is a legend who got rich on his own. He started out selling coupon books on the strip and eventually built his own casino. Those of you that are putting him down will most likely never do anything that grand with your life, so give the man a little respect.

if they're playing 9 handed 300/600 w/100 antes, that's 1800 every orbit to just sit in the game and fold. give them 27 hands/hour and that's 5400 an hour...only playing AA doesn't seem like a great plan here.

BOB is probably the richest man in VEGAS

Bob is probably the most well off man in VEGAS.
He has probably lost more money that any of YOU will ever see and he has probably made more money than any of YOU will ever see.
And his net worth is probably more than any of you will ever DREAM of seeing.

BOB can buy that table 10X over and still have enough left to go and buy JO 10X over.

I didn't knew Bob had a bracelet.

$ 5,000 Deuce to Seven Draw
20th World Series of Poker (WSOP) 1989

1st. Bob Stupak $139,500
2nd. Bill Baxter $77,500
3rd. David 'Chip' Reese $46,500

Pretty nice against the draw-master and 7-time bracelet winner baxter.

Im not sure why some of you are trying to be reasonable about why this man is playing in this game. He isnt there to win money, he is there to "hang out" with the boys. He is getting paid 2500/hr to sit around and fold and listen to Sammy and Daniel talk [censored] to everyone. Even if he loses a little in this game, he still got on TV with the big boys

Re: bob stupak

Well said.

Bob has helped more then a few people in his life. This is the reason most high stake players do not register or post on 2+2. Trust me about all the high stake players read the forums for the same reason you do. They love to play and they make money doing it. The reson they don't post is they way everyone beats up on individuals i.e Raymer (seems to be accepted due to his long history with 2+2), Daniel, Annie, Mikey, Phil, Doyle, Todd, etc. Bob is a vegas Icon period.

I saw someones post about Bob Stupaks moneys from Hendon Mob. But I'm sur eI saw him on a final table on the WPT.

I also think it's pretty low to make fun of people. Then again I did the same thing when I was 13.

But if you're all perfect then have at it.

Sure, but no way that table costs more the 7-8 grand tops. Maybe less. Ok I don't have 80k kicking around, but that kinda money doesn't really impress me either.

I don't know what JO is. Is it expensive?
