Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
This entry is inspired by the "Worst Long Running TV Show" thread.
There was a Mel Brooks show in the mid-70's called "When Things Were Rotten". At the time I thought this show was very funny but I have to admit that I am partial to the work of Mr. Brooks. I don't even think this show made it to Christmas. |
Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
isn't Faulty Towers (sp?) the obvious choice?

Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
Less than one season seems pretty limiting. Less than two seasons might have some more answers.

Hot L Baltimore, 1975.
I was just a kid, but it sure seemed funny at the time. |
Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
not sure if Action was on for 1 or 2 seasons but that was a damn funny show.
|
Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
I loved Hot L Baltimore as well. The funny thing is that the Baltimore ABC affiliate refused to air the show because at the time it was deemed to racy. I used to have to watch it on the Washington ABC affiliate.

isn't Faulty Towers (sp?) the obvious choice? [/ QUOTE ] Easily one of the funniest shows ever, if not the funniest, so this has gotta be it. I have the whole series and it fits on 3 DVD's. I'm also partial to Get a Life, but lots of people hated it. Screw them though, I loved it. |

Playmakers was pretty good

Re: Not the best but recent: I liked Kitchen Confidential FOX BASTARDS
Boomtown lasted for one year for all practical purposes. Whatever that was that came back in the second year was just miserable and I was glad to see it cancelled. The first year was great television.
On a related note Donnie Wahlberg is a terrific actor and deserves wider exposure. He was outstanding in Diamond Men, Boomtown and Band of Brothers. |
Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
I always loved "Freaks and Geeks."
|
Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
Playmakers was unbelieveable too bad the NFL were such bitches.
|
Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
Boomtown was a great one. I agree with the notion that only the first season counts. Excellent show.

Re: Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season
From the Law`and Order installments-there was Trial by Jury that made it one season.
