What happened to winamp?
 

i remember winamp had online tv and radio. any of you know what happened to it? how can i reach some of those stations?

What happened to winamp was AOL bought it and bloated it and made it not worth a download.

But you should still be able to find what you are talking about under the media library?

I still use Winamp and they have AOL Radio and Shoutcast and TV as well. I like it alot better than WMP.

I use an old version of winamp, since the new one is so bloated and ugly.

Great for stuff like mirc,aim,acdsee,winamp,etc - versions where they were functional and not yet bloated.

besides being way too resource intensive (i doubt anyone wants to devote over 30% of their system resources to playing mp3s) , then yes it's not bad. Old old Winamp was still way better for just playing mp3's tho.

There have been several major security holes found in Winamp in the past few months. I would be want to be very sure the the old version did not have those holes before I used it.
