Another sng video
Hey all.
Spolier: This video will probably not be of much use for more experienced players, it's meant more for newer players to show some of the nuances of late game play (CL a donk w/ position on me, as well as a super-short stack 3 handed). Some people requested another video, so here it is. I initially made a video of me 4-tabling, but the file size was too massive, so instead I used popopop and just replayed an interesting sng. There are a few close spots and in general I think interesting situations. I suggest that newer players get into the habit of of replaying HHs from previous sessions running an ICM program and trying to verbalize your thought process. Nice one mate. |
Re: Another sng video
Good work, enjoyed the video. You explained your thought process and the situations well.
only criticism: don't like the push @3:21 and I don't think you should call an sb push w/ 86o @5:00. |
Re: Another sng video
30/60, 2000 starting chips, weird replayer software, what is all this?
|
Re: Another sng video
I agree the a6o shove is very thin, I should have said it in the video.
Calling a SB push at 5:00 is only if we know he's on 90%+, which I can't really say for sure as he's an unknown. I'd call a reg that I knew for a fact was on ATC there though. Even if we're sure opponent was on 100%, it's still thin. I just meant to point it out that calling would be correct if he was on top 90+, though I would fold in the scenario vs him. It also highlights how wide you should be calling bvb w/ chips on the bbl when SB is shoving very loose. |

Re: Another sng video
It started out at 20/40, 2000 chips (party structure). Here's the link to the replayer: http://www.universal-replayer.net/ . It works with a variety of sites.

vers -
very nice video. do you have any other videos that you are sharing? also what software do you use during SNG play? what software do you use to analyze games that are finished? Thanks so much DMM |
Re: Another sng video

Re: Another sng video
A few questions
At 1:30 or so, you fold KTo on the button, but I didn't see all the pf action. If it's folded around to you in that case, would you raise to steal the blinds? Next hand, you skip past 67s in the CO. How many people have to limp for you to limp in with this hand also? |
Re: Another sng video
Here are the links to the other videos I have done in the past. They're about 2 months old and the analysis is less mathematically based (I didn't run all the close shoves w/ ICM). I also play better than it is shown in these videos.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NQC95VI7 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0Z56KDPR http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E9IHWYO9 During sng play, I use PT and PAHUD and to do ICM afterwards I was using sngpt. W/ the KTo hand I pretty much would never open in that spot for a raise, especially since the BB has 900 chips, I feel like if I raised to 250, since he's short, I think he's more likely to make desperation shoves. Also I'd be getting laid roughly 2-1 on the call and I'm not too crazy about getting half my stack in w/ KTo here. 76s I am never limping in there, despite how many limpers there are. Blinds are too big to spew around with hands like this. The weakest suited connector I'll ever limp is KQs. I think most people solid players at early levels aren't playing anything less than like 22+, AJs+, AQo+ and maybe KQs. |

Re: Another sng video
Nice video!
@ 06:40 on the bubble you push KQo UTG, saying it is an easy push... But with BTN and BB on call hands: 44+,A7s+,A9o+ and the SB on call hands: 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs (I think he will call wider, because he is very shortstackt) SNGPT gives with these ranges -0,4% Ofcourse villains could call tighter, but it is not "an easy push" I think... In play I would fold. Greets, Wessel The Netherlands |
Re: Another sng video
I just ran it and it is a lot closer than I initially thought. The ranges I had BTN and BB on were slightly tighter and it ended up being like +0.1%. I think when SB folds, BB calls significantly tighter than 44+,A7s+,A9o+. Also my utg shove looks stronger than a bvb shove, so I think BTN doesn't call quite that wide either.

Re: Another sng video
Thanks a lot for posting the video.
|
Re: Another sng video
vers i disagree about how tight good players play, but this comes up a lot with me. If there are limpers before me i like to limp suited aces, suited connectors, etc.
|
Re: Another sng video
yeah I remember Danny, you like to lag it up a little bit. I don't think there's anything wrong with that if you can make it profitable. I just think that newer players w/ less ability to hand read will probably not be able to play that style effectively.
