200PS: Somewhat lost PF and on the flop

Both players are new to me.

I got really confused here preflop. I considered folding, calling and reraising. I think folding is okay here, but I don't think calling is bad either. I think reraising is ...interesting.

And how do I play the flop?

Check raise all in if one of the player bet, if one bet and the other call/raise you drop it

I'd check and fold to a big bet by either player, you haven't hit the flop hard. I think preflop is fine.

I don't really like preflop much oop but maybe thats just me. just check fold now.

Yeah, I like RoundTower's line.

I think a CRAI is very spewy.

Also, I don't like a pre-flop 3-bet against unknowns.

Yes.

4-betting against unknowns is beyond stupid here, you could easily end up isolating with UTG's AAxx which is the last thing you want to do with this hand. Either call or fold.

Also, while you don't have a huge piece of the flop, you are in a pretty good bluffing situation. I think CO likely has a high rundown hand and even if he has AA, you might get a fold. I'd probably check/min-raise the flop and then push the turn as long as UTG gets out of the way. This would be a better play if you were just a little deeper however.

Ok, I got a nice turn. What's the bet on the river? Does anbody go for a checkraise?

Flop: ($56) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, CO checks.

Turn: ($56) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $40, UTG calls $40, CO folds.

River: ($136) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets ?

Re: 200PS: Somewhat lost PF and on the flop

An overpair looks more likely for villain than trips or a boat here and that hand would be happy to check behind, so going for a C/R is out.

Anyway, if I were playing the hand, after the check on the flop, I'd probably pot the turn to represent a bluff and then maybe bet $90 on the river as you could conceivably following up the bluff in case he was drawing and just over 1/2 the pot looks like you want a fold.

As played, it looks like you have either a boat or a weak overpair. Since you're likely against an overpair here, I'd probably bet exactly half the pot or one dollar under half the pot to try to get a reluctant call from KK (or maybe AA from a passive player).

i eman your hand if u chekc river looks like a steal so he should be tempted.

yeah igg is right too though, vb agaisnt an overpair might be the best.

Re: 200PS: Somewhat lost PF and on the flop

no I definitely lead river, most likely he has an overpair or a 7, and he probably doesn't have a hand he wants to bluff with.

Re: 200PS: Somewhat lost PF and on the flop

must bet the river,
villain probably has an overpair and would be happy to check.

To me a PSB on the river looks more like a bluff,
it is almost as likley to get a call and gets paid more so I would normally bet the pot on the river.

I dont like messing around with bet sizes on the river,
just betting the pot is usually best and makes you harder to read.
