[censored] me. This is such a huge soul crushing life beat.

My dad has got engaged. This is the 3rd time he has got engaged since divorcing my mother 4 years ago. 2 previous engagements were broken off. He has been seeing this woman for like 2-3 months tops and I have met her like once - wtf.

Anyway, thats not the beat. The beat is he wants to move in with her when he marries her when they get married (April apparently). With their combined monies they expect to get a 4 bedroom house. She has a girl and a boy (10 and 14) so apparently they get their own rooms because of that which means me and my 18 year old brother will likely have to share a room...... wtf...... There is the option to move into my mums house, but that would be equally lame - she is something of a hippy and her friends are total [censored] for the most part. That would be kinda lame. I'm off to University in September so it would only be for the holidays and stuff, but still - wtf. Thoughts on what I should do? Money is not a huge issue - I make anywhere between $3k and $8k or so per month grinding 200NL.

Also, I realize I am nearly 21 years old and should be moving out of my parents house anyway, but going back to Uni makes that difficult since where the [censored] am I meant to go during the holidays?

If so, rent a damn place for that time. You're 20, it's okay to move out.

I'm lazy. Months are usually $3kish minimum, when I actually decide to grind (which isn't too often) they are like $5k-$8k I guess. And I'm still at 200NL because I spend like 80% of what I make on random crap.

I guess this could be a good thing - movitation me to play more and actually grind and move up the poker ladder. My ambition in poker is pretty non-existant atm because I find it soo boring.

$500 rent to my dad. $400 on phone, internet, gym, store card bills. The other $1500 or so goes on food, DVDs, clothes, drinking, trips, holidays etc etc. I don't think $2.5k-$3k is particularly unreasonable tbh (obviously I could cut down a lot if needed).

Here in Americungh, you can get a pretty sweet small apartment for $700/month, leaviing you with $2300. Then you pay $350 a month for cable/internet/electricty/internet....leaving you with over $1900 of money to waste.

If you can't live on $1900 of expendable income for food/entertainment and such, you are a huge life degen imo.

I'm not at school at the minute. First year of my degree will start this coming Sept. Atm, and for the past year I have just been a poker-bum.

1. Don't even know which Uni I'm going to.
2. Since I haven't started the course I would know no-one there anyway.
3. I want to live in halls for my first year.
4. I want to stay near my dad's house during the holidays since its where I grew up and I have a lot of close friends here.

Yeah, went to Uni at 19 and hated the course + found poker so I dropped out after like 5 months. That was about a year ago, and now I want to go get a degree, so I'm going back to Uni as a first year in Sept.
