|
Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
And praios, thats where you say "touche!"
Hahaha! Don't tell people to use a hand converter when you have never used one. |
Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
sorry about the converter i will look into it next time.
what about the hands |
Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
Try looking into it this time. It doesn't take that long to convert the hands.

1. Get it in 2. Fine 3. Your C/r sucks [/ QUOTE ] i further respond: 1) get it in as played. generally fold pre because, with history, you won't have fe post flop to make this hand profitable imo 2) you flat call to trap. whats the question? |

Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
I fold preflop in hand 1, but get it in as played.
Hand 2 looks good Hand 3 fold preflop, and whatever you do.....don't c/r the flop |
Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
Try and think about WHY you c/r in hand 3, especially if you don't know what to do on the turn. Don't just c/r because woooooooo I have top pair. What does it accomplish vs his range? Since I guess you are doing it for value, what worse hands will he call with?
|
Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
Isn't the point of the c/r in hand 3 to tell us where we're at? I.E. if I'm called I'm beat so I can c/f and c/c river if he checks it back, he's never betting a worse A on turn and should be taking a free card on any sort of draw.

Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
Flop raise in 3 is obviously gash.
And suck less pf. |
Re: NL 400 - Sticky situations or I just suck postflop
Hey OhioSt2k,
Hand 1, my read is slightly different on Villain, so I would shove happily and expect to be called by his whole range, which is JJ+ /2 pair/set most of the time, QJ once in a while maybe, never air, and obviously the overpair is most of the range. Overpairs are by far the most common hand he'll have here IMO. Also, I'd fold pre-flop vs. a Villain like you described. Hand 2, I'm surprised you c/r'd flop. Normally, that will not work on this board vs. hands you want to stack. However, you say you were spooked when he called the raise? That makes even less sense, since a call by him is the same as a shove here, and you were presumably shoving for value and not trying to bluff out AA+ There's no money left compared to the pot; no decision after you raise flop. Hand 3, Villain is terrible if he plays like you described, but he obviously has you smoked here. Also, I think a shove is a lot better than a small raise, with the diamonds on board (but I agree with everyone that a c/r is bad). |
