BB checks, Hero...

Villain is 37/9 after just 30ish hands, seems bad, no other reads. Just wondering if a push here is really standard, villain only has a little over a psb left.

I doubt he got a straight, looks like missed clubs.

Do we lose that much by checking behind?
I guess 99+ would call a push on the river.

Re: NL 25 KK easy shove?

I push here if you think he will call with an 8, otherwise I like betting slightly less than a push just because people seem to call those bets alot more frequently than a push.

mandatory bet

I probably check behind here. What does he call a river shove with that doesn't win the pot? If he'll call with A8 or something like that, then go ahead and push. Other than that, I would check.

Re: NL 25 KK easy shove?

Terrible thinking that he will only call with A8. He could call with any random 8, or 99-TT. If he has called this far why wont he call another bet?

I would shove the river, as there is about a pts-bet left.

Re: NL 25 KK easy shove?

See the only problem I have with shoving here as opposed to betting is that most villains dont think "oh that bet makes sense, its only a psb". They think, "damn thats a big bet". I just find so many people folding to shoves here as opposed to betting like 10-12 and they call, even though the logic makes no sense on their part.

He has played the hand so strange by c/c the whole way. To me he is either on a draw or has a huge hand and is trapping. He obviously isn't calling with a fd, since that missed. I guess he might call with 99/TT/JJ, but he would have played awful on every street if he had 1 of those hands.

Bet half the pot and pray he calls

You have to value bet this. Doubt you will be getting called most of the time, especially at these stakes.

I see this check/call flop, check/call turn, check/fold river line so much from villains out of position...and most of the time, its a missed draw on the flop. If they hit their draw on the river, they will bet into you.

Make your money from these type of villains on the flop and turn!
