3bet, Give Up, Get There, Now What?

Villain is 25/20/3 thru 500 hands. I know he calls 3bets light which makes me kinda indifferent about pf.

I call pf more often than I 3bet, to be honest. Turn bet is good. River is blah- I think it's prob about neutral- but I'd look to fold, as this is prob hearts or Ax spades or something more often than it's 99 or KJ trying to bluff.

Re: 3bet, Give Up, Get There, Now What?

I'd call. His line just doesn't make any sense. What A could he have? AK would 4-bet pre, AJ and AQ probably stabs flop, Ax spades definetely bets it. And if he didn't stab the flop, would he float the turn ? Possibly but it's a long shot. Backdoor flush is possible but very unlikely.

Edit: Also in his eyes the A is a good card to bluff.

While I think it's difficult for him to have an Ace, I think it's hard for him to have a hand he's bluffing with too.

If he's calling pf light then it must be with the intention of bluffing/stealing post-flop a decent amount, and here his line doesnt make much sense plus ours doesnt look too strong, all you've done is rep the K and now it doesnt look like we hold AK. So, I probably call and get shown AT

Fwiw I agree he's 3-betting preflop with AK a high percentage. 60%+ or so. I don't agree AQ/AJ is that likely to stab the flop, although it's possible. Axss will bet the flop pretty often. Bdfd is possible, but only JThh and worse is possible so it's not terribly likely.

Re: 3bet, Give Up, Get There, Now What?

Yeah I think most 25/20s are 4-betting AK here with a super high % when they open from the CO if hero has normal stats.

Re: 3bet, Give Up, Get There, Now What?

I don't like preflop if he calls 3-bet pretty light and play well postflop.

The river is tough, but I think I fold. I think most players bet more if they're turning a PP/fd into a bluff.

Re: 3bet, Give Up, Get There, Now What?

I think you bet too little on the turn. We should be betting like $40+. Could villain be betting KJ or KT here? Could he be floating the turn w/ nothing?

Re: 3bet, Give Up, Get There, Now What?

preflop is fine
Bet the flop -
as played Bet more on turn 40
as played fold river
