BAD RUN...................... NEED ADVICE PLEASE!!
 

Hey, I have been playing online poker for 2 years. It took me 1 year of learning till I started making money. This year from 1/2007 till now I have made 36K profit. I was grinding 1-2NL then 2-4 and then 3-6. I was crushing the tables considering I only play 2-3 days a week usually 2-3 tables. I jump on 5-10NL here and there and had some good results so I decided to move up. Right now I am getting slaughtered. Not from bad play I assure you cause i've been through some tough times on other levels. Its because my beats are top pair vs my set and the player back doored a boat... That happened a few times not to mention all those times I put it all in with AA and lost to 88, KK, AK, etc, from a combination of back door straights, sets, etc. I was 90+ percent favorite all those hands. This has been a tough 2 weeks. All in all I lost 7K from my bankroll. When I started playing on 5-10NL I had 26K in my bankroll cause I spend some money. Now I have 19K and I am scared, sad, and don't know what to do.

Some of you players that are at my level or better and have over come similar experience, please give me some advice. Should I continue 5-10, move down?

well at some levels you were crushing, and you moved up and now you're getting killed. maybe, just MAYBE, you should move back down to where you were winning.

Wow, you played for 2 yrs, grinded 1/2-3/6, and never had a 7+ buy-inn downswing?

I have 10+ buy-inns downswings at least ewery week or two, and 20+ every month or two.

But hey, I play LAG, but still, 7 buy-inns is pretty standard even for a nit.

I am confident that this is a bad run and I am taking some beats. My question is not about my play, the real question is if 19 buy ins is enough to ride through the variance. Also moving down is not bad considering my feelings are hurt.

Yes I have had 7 buy in down swings. The most I had was 13 on the 1-2NL. But the 5-10 is so painful... its 7K... My feelings are hurt. I read a article on cardplayer.com about emotional bankroll where maybe the 1K buy in is too expensive for me to lose emotionally. Maybe that is true.

OK... FOR THOSE OF YOU EGO MANIACS. OR NEWB PLAYERS THAT CANT TAKE THAT SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY WIN MONEY IN POKER. GO TO CAKE NETWORK AND I WILL SIT IN A 50-100NL HEADS UP TABLE WITH 10K. I have been honest 100% but some of you are just babies, I bet the ones wanting me to prove that I am a decent player are crappy losing players. I only have 11K in my account because I lost 7K and I usually cashout 2500 a month (which is the max cashout or else I have to pay 40$ for a seperate check). I skipped a few cashouts because of a few bad runs on the way. You do the math.

The table is 12079 two player max 50-100NL. Seriously... I am gonna start doing all those online Sh!ts like those graphs, forums, and stuff so I can take a giant dump on some of you one day. Because I haven't had ANY help other then 2 poker books to become a winning player and some of you are such big babies.

Dude... 19k roll is still nice. This is what you should do. And BTW... you shouldn' thave played 10/20 with a 27k roll or so. Play 5/10 nl when u get a 30k roll (and I mean take a shot) and with a 60-70k roll take a shot at 10/20. The varaince will eat u alive as u transition from mid stakes to high stakes. With $19k u still r ok to grind 2/4nl, and if u keep losing, just dont be afraid to move down. W/e u do, don't get stuck TOO much in one day and don't move up when ur running bad to get unstuck, etc. Don't worry dude, you're in fine shape.

Yea LOL. This is pretty funny. Being attacked because I needed some advice. Again, those are probably the micro players that are hating cause these use all those online programs and lose while I am not familiar with all these online things and win.

Also, can someone teach me how to use that graph software?
