I would post this in BBV, cause it's actually pretty funny, but I'd rather have it serve as a warning to anybody reading this forum.

If you're anything like me, you like beer. Also, you probably like poker. Sometimes you like to drink beer while playing poker.

This is completely serious, I actually drank pretty much where I marked on the graph, and actually donked off all that cash. This is all at 25NL. This is a graph of my last 3 days.

The problem could be specific to me- maybe I can't handle alcohol while I play. More likely though, is that it works the same way with most people. If you sometimes wish you could maybe get your winrate a bit more steady, and you're drinking while you play, I really urge you to reconsider.

It's more like variance magnified by beer.

That's pretty much a 5 buyin drop within 100 hands... Variance isn't even that cruel.

Next project: all of you need to brainstorm and figure out a way we can get me to quit smoking (cigarettes obv, not wacky stuff)

AWWW a noteworthy project!!!

My Dad, when he decided to stop smoking, used to suck on hard candy and/or chew on straws.... primarily he chewed on straws. He'd chew them into these tiny pieces and they'd end up all over the floor, but HEY he quit smoking [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]!!

Plus he had the added incentive of everytime he went to smoke I'd start coughing and gaging -- like I was going to die.

You don't have a little kid to do that for you but maybe get Anti-Smoking Elmo to sit there with you and cough and gag incessantly lol --- see if this spurs you on. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
