Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
I am going to be in Toronto on business Thursday and Friday with nothing to do Thursday night (staying downtown at the Westin). What is the best/easiest way to get to Fallsview Casino, and how long would it take? How about getting back?
Thanks! |
Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question

Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
There is a chinese bus tour company... f*ck, I forget the name, but they will take u down and back for $30, but you get $25 casino credit, so it really costs $5. They depart from Toronto and return quite often through the night and morning.
hope this helps friedace |
Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
I think it's called Tripmate Tours. It leaves from Chinatown. You can also call ahead (905) 371-7777 to put your name on the lists, I'm not sure if they give you 60 or 90 minutes, but you could call when you pass Hamilton on the way there and if traffic is not too bad, you should be there in time.

Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
I think Tripmate went bust. It's now Safeway tours. I don't know the number but directory assistance will give you the info. The bus is 5 after the token/cash rebate. But if you are a first time visitor it's 15.

Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
From downtown Toronto, it's about 125 km to Fallsview. If there's no traffic, you can make it in just over an hour from the time you get on the highway.
However, getting onto the Gardiner/QEW from downtown may take 20 minutes and if you're leaving anywhere near rush hour expect a 20-60 minute slowdown through Oakville & Burlington. Fortunately, you're not leaving on a Friday and it's currently October. If you did this trip on a Friday afternoon in July, I would expect it to take you 3-4 hours. |
Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
Would OP save much travel time if he went to Brantford instead?
|
Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
At most 15-20 minutes. The congested stretch of the QEW is between Toronto & the 403 exit to Brantford. Also, OP probably wants to play NL instead of limit, but this is just a guess.

Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
I didn't know Brantford was limit only.
I'll also be in Toronto the first weekend of Nov. I prefer to play 10-20/20-40 limit. Would I be better off going to Brantford or the Falls? |
Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
Fallsview does not spread limit games on a regular basis...you MIGHT find a 10/20 limit game at Fallsview if you're lucky. You should consider Brantford or Great Blue Heron (GBH) casino, depending on where exactly in Toronto you are staying. If you'll be in the west end, Brantford is probably closer...if you'll be in the east end, GBH is probably closer.
I have never played at GBH...but, the games at Brantford are very soft... |

I'm sorry to hear you got stuck on such a tight table. Brantford 10-20 is the loosest and worst limit game ever. On an average 10 player table, you have 7.7 ATMs. |
Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
Sounds like a few years I got to play at the CNE. I was planning on driving from Toronto to Syracuse so the Falls would be better but Brantford it is.

Re: Getting to Fallsview Casino from Toronto - Quick Question
Brantford = limit action & CPT
Fallsview = No Limit action & WPT |
