New to table 1 orbit so far. This is on UB, and I hate this site b/c I dont know how to use converter, or request hand history.

Its 6 handed but folded to me OTB.

So its folded to me and I pick up A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
I make it $4 and SB calls, BB folds.

Flop:($9) 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB checks and I bet $8, and SB makes it $32



What is his range here, and do you think he is drawing?

Without reads I'm folding.

His range is wide since you don't know anything about him.

But as a first approximation: top pair, two pair, sets, combo draws, OESDs, flush draws, gutshots, and a modicum of air.

Against this range we are slightly ahead or a long way behind. If we raise he dumps a lot of the stuff we were hammering, but continues with the good draws and two-pair+ hands.

Calling doesn't seem to help much, as we are committing too much to be happy about folding later, and we can't be sure he will keep betting the crap end of his range.

I fold here, if he keeps doing this regularly then next time make a stand.

If I call the flop I'm pushing or calling safe turns (such as they are: no spades, no ace, no 8, no 9).

peyote, if you fold here it's profitable to call with any two cards and check/raise pretty much any flop against you. It's no good.

shoving now is fine i guess. just sortve depends what you think his c/r means. some players will c/r draws more often than their tps (ie. they'll c/c with QJ and c/r with like J9 or spades). so generally safe turns i shove.

I agree this board is different but I guess my point is those that think you are getting c/r here by all kinds of draws is crazy. Sure, I'll give you K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] but naked gutshots? No freakin way.

How can you justify that kind of thinking with no history or table image?
