So October 7th some lady won $444,186 on NFL Pro Picks.

Right now I am 13 out of 14 games right.

I need Indy to come through tonight to get paid.

The payout like I said is completely dependant on amount of tickets played and amount of correct tickets.

Seriously though, playing a 14-team parlay is pretty -EV, imo. If you win, good job. The odds of hitting all 14 games is ridiculous.

I usually just play like $5 and $10 pro line tickets.

Sometimes put in $50 bets with Bookie.

$200 is more than I usually bet but I figured I'm either gonna win huge with my Pro Picks ticket OR if I get screwed on that and Jacksonville wins then at least I win my $200 bet.

Like I said ..I am for the most part a small time sports bettor ($5,$10,$50 bets max) but if Indy wins then I win a huge payout possibly on a $5 ticket.

If Jacksonville wins by some fluke then at least I win something that way too by way of a seperate $200 bet at odds of +150 = a $350 payout.

If Jacksonville loses by only 2 Points (the spread is 3) then I win both bets.

solids I agree.. this is putting me on monkey life tilt.. how many people do you think are gonna hit 14 of 14.

I don't really get the rules of this contest but true odds of hitting a 14 team parlay are 16,384 to 1.

Jacksonville has a very real chance of winning, it wouldn't be a "fluke", they are a very good team and at home and normally give indy fits.

But do you realize that if you bet a much higher amount, say $50,000, you are guarenteed at least $50,000 regardless of the outcome of the game??? If you only bet $200, you are only guarenteed $200.

it would help to know what the average 14 of 14 winner makes. Obviously there might be a few others with the same picks. It also sounds like you are a very small time bettor, and you'd have the chance to lock up about (guestimate here) 30k+ win and you'd think you would be jumping at that chance off a $5 ticket.

I do reaalize what you are saying.

I also realize that when that lady won 444K there were approx 89,000 tickets bought at $5 each.

and 1 winnar = 444K.

If for instance this time the game has become more popular and there were 100,000 tickets played for a prizepool of 500K.

Now what if somehow 400 ended up picking winners since there weren't any really crazy upsets this weekend.

That would make my payout $1250.

A far cry from $444K.

Just my thoughts.

Just curious, but what contest is this? I'm surprised they don't let you know the prize pool once all bets are in.

Also, the odds of 400 people, let alone 5 people, picking every game correctly is so small it's ridiculous.

I would still bet much more than $200.

No thanks.. already found someone else with the same ticket, (who said he'd sell for 20k) and said it prolly wouldn't pay more than 5k due to the fact many favs won this week. He said the weeks it paid huge are when the very big underdogs won.
