What\'s wrong with my location?
 

I got banned for having " <font color="purple"> Sucka h sucka dick y'all </font> " as my loc. Why can't I have that? I had it for over a month with no problems [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Also, I got banned by a guy who's forum I don't even post in. I thought that wasn't allowed? He could have just PMed me to take it down...

I'd like to go back to my old loc if possible so hopefully one of you can tell me if that's ok.

Hi T-Dog,

2+2 Publishing prides itself on being the most professional poker site on the internet. This extends to the forums, where stuff like "Sucka h sucka dick y'all" and "I hope you die in a grease fire" is not considered proper decorum. Going forward I would suggest being less offensive, or preferably posting at pocketfives instead of here.

My opinion as posted in the mod forum with very slight editing:

I am sorry if 'sucka dick y'all' is considered an appropriate location for a user. Two items regarding the one day suspension 'out of forum'. One, I thought user id's and location were site wide and 'not per forum'. Second, threads regarding the AP fiasco were moved to the Zoo and I believe back. I think the thread was in the Zoo but I could be mistaken.

Sorry if this was the wrong move but I don't think 'sucka my dick y'all' should be an acceptable location. If Mat, Ryan, etc feel differently than it is ok. On a side note this was in one of the ap threads that was likely to be linked to by major media. I was just trying to ensure 2+2 looked respectable and not like a juvenile site to media and new lurkers. This poster has also caused several problems in the past.

Not really disagreeing with you Jim, but the avatars of bouncing breasts and pretty much the entire BBV4L forum would probably do MUCH more damage than "sucka duck y'all" would to anybody looking closer.

I know BBV pulled 45k for charity, but there's LOTS more to worry about than one poster's loc saying "sucka dick y'all". And with all that said, at least we're not p5's.

I am not offended by the bouncing breasts (in fact I kind of like them!). :&gt;) I think those should be appropriate as avators. My personal preference is 'my kids rule'. Would I be offended if my children saw that avator. My kids can see bouncing breasts all day long at the beach. However if I heard someone say 'suck a dick y'all' in front of my kids I would tell them to please watch their language. That is just my preference and I am willing to follow the rules set forth by the admins within reason.

Wouldn't it make more sense here to just PM him and ask him to change it rather than banning him for a day out of forum, when, as I understand it, if he can't log in to change it, the offending location just remains up for another 24 hours?

User id's and locations are not 'in forum', those are across all forums. I modified his location to something generic like '2+2'. I was going to suspend him for one minute so that he would get the associated message but after reading his lengthy mod notes and problematic history decided one day off from the forums would be better. Do people really think that 'sucka sucka dick y'all' is an appropriate location for a public forum? I think it sounds more appropriate for the junior high boys restroom with a few geeky giggles added in. That is jmho.

Mr Kuhn,

For the most part locations are in forum. People typically only search for people that post in the same forums as them. So the only people that would ever see his location are people reading threads where he posts. So you really should let those mods handle the situation.

Also i think punishing t-god strongly because of his other transgressions is a bad idea in this case since they are not similar situations.
