Villian is 23/15/1.7 after 206 hands. Seems to call a lot of cbets but typically just gives up on the turn. But what is villian's callin range on the river here??

I make it $17-18 on turn...and yes I'm v-betting river all day. Just pick a # really.

He could have 33 or 55 here. It's more likely he has JJ TT, QT or QJ. If I had to put my money on his probable hand I'd have to say JJ or TT. Check calling along worried about your hand. A good player might play 88/99 or 77 just like you have here. Your showing possible weakness with your bet sizes. On balance, I'd bet this hand on the end unless the player was super tight and/or always played for a check raise. Then I'm worried he's calling with AQ or 33 or 55 and I'd probably check the river. 90% of the time however, I'm betting on the end. If you'd been losing or playing many hands recently it might change my read of what the other player is thinking or playing.

well this guy seem decent but not aggro. A river bet is obv goining to be relatively large and i was just tryin to think of hands that he will call w/...If the guy was bad then its a def no brainer but maybe im just either over thinkin or givin too much credit??

Whenever you think you are ahead and IP on the river, valuebet. You would be surprised to see the holdings they call you with.

The situation you presented is not even close. 3/4 pot.

This is obviously a value bet, but maybe not as much as other people are advocating.

People like to talk about hand reading with regard to decisions on the flop and turn but its just as important in river value betting situations. So think about what he can have here and what bet size he will pay off with his range. Realistically you will get value from JJ TT QJs maybe 88 77 and Ah9h Th9h 9h8h - I think the only hand you worry about is an unlikely AQ, but i doubt the best bet size is 3/4 pot, a ~$25 bet will probably have higher ev in this spot.
