Most shameful thing you\'ve ever done?
 

The other day I had a little flashback and was thinking what I've done that has brought me the most shame.

I believe for me it was :

I was a big drinker and I once drove while intoxicated with my 3 y/o child in the car. I am very embarrassed by it. That is one of the main reaasons I quit drinking over 5 years ago.

A distant second was when I got drunk and wrecked my friends truck. Yes I paid for it.

So lets see whatcha got OOT.

I guess I was 9 or 10 years old, in a footrace on a playground. I actually slowed down to trip my opponent into the blacktop at full speed. I have done some perhaps more shameful things but for some reason I always insta-recall that when asked a question like this.

Another shameful thing... in college I lived in an apartment with three roommates. One of the roommates, one of my best friends, seemed to have a touch of the OCD, so the two others and myself conspired to stagger stacks of VHS tapes, flip cans over, move things around in the refrigerator every day, and then note how everything was back in "its place" by the end of the day.

He also had a "what is your mood" magnet on the fridge, a cute convention give-away. It had a matrix of maybe 5 by 6 emotions depicted by a face. There was "happy," "sad," "tired," etc.

Something like this:

Another magnet was used to focus on which mood was yours. We made sure this was always on "lonely." After a few weeks of this, we found the "lonely" face shredded by a knife and torn from the little thingy.

This all seemed fun until we decided our lives may be threatened. It seemed like a goofy joke then but I do feel shameful about it now.

when i was a kid i went fishing and we kept catching small sunfish, kivers, blue gills etc. Where we were fishing there was a huge tree with a hole in it, so every fish we caught we threw into the hole. The total at the end of the day was 22 fish, i still feel horrible about it.

Now that I think about it, when I was a kid, they sold fish at the market. My mom bought like 30 or something fish one day to make some big thing for some party. I put them in the bathtub full of water and let them swim for a while. I then took the plug out and watched them flap around.

Probably not the most shameful thing, but the post above mine reminded me of it. I was probably 6 y.o.

A girl I didnt like came up and told me she liked me. She gave me rides home every day from school, and all I said was you dont have to give me rides anymore and I just walked away and everyone that saw the exchange started cracking up. She was really nice and I dont know why I was such a dick. I still feel bad though.

I think there is only one girl that is justified in absolutely hating me for what I did to her.

I mean, in college I had my share of one night stands, but I feel like those are fine. Only one time did I string a girl along for an extended period of time, leading her to believe that there was the potential for a relationship. I knew that she was in love with me and I although I told her I wasn't interested in a relationship, I still did a lot of things that led her to believe I was. This happened at the end of the year, and during the summer we never got together, but we talked online a few times, then I began ignoring her, but not just ignoring her, being a dick about it. She would IM me and I'd put up an away or something, so she would know I was there and actively avoiding her.

When we came back for the fall, we hadn't seen each other for the first week or two. Then one night, at like 4am, we're drunk talking on AIM and basically I tell her that I want sex one last time since I didn't know our last time would be the last. I explicitly tell her nothing will come of this, but I know that in her head she's thinking that if she can just convince me, it might work out to happily ever after.

So she comes over and we have sex, and she starts in on the "so is this it, why don't we get into a relationship, etc."

I get up and sit on my computer while she is naked in bed and I start addressing her as Julie Gianni (Cameron Diaz from Vanilla Sky). She doesn't get it at first, so I keep at it, referring to her as Julie Gianni.

She then starts to get it (I knew that she owned the movie) and I start repeating that line "You've been inside me. I swallowed your cum.That means something." I can see that she is getting upset, but I don't stop.

"Don't you know when you sleepwith someone... your body makes a promisewhether you do or not? Tell me something, Noah. Do you believe in God?"

She then starts crying and starts getting her clothes on. As she's getting dressed she looks up at me and I see this look on her face that is so sad and hurt that I immediately felt like "omg i am a monster."

I've told this store before in a far more positive light, because its hard to admit to myself that I was so awful to her. When it comes to shameful things for me, its not just that this is the top of the list, its so far worse than anything I've ever done that to this day I feel horrible about it.

The sad thing is that she was a great girl. She was cute, really smart, very friendly, etc. Of all the girls that I have dealt with in my life that have been crazy bitches, I chose her to be horrible to. I have tried to rationalize it by blaming her, but it doesn't work, I know that I was 100% in the wrong here. I saw her at homecoming, but I didn't talk to her or even make eye contact though it was obvious that she was highly aware of me. She was doing the typical "I'm going to get as close as possible and show him I'm having an awesome time." I'm sure if she ever read this she would think "wtf is he thinking? i got over him the next week" but no matter what, I always feel terrible when i think about how I treated her.


Cliff Notes: Girl is nice to me, just wants to be with me and I am a complete and total prick to her, taking pleasure in hurting her. Still feel awful about it.

my cliff notes at bottom : I got drunk took this girl for a ride, hit a corner and she flew off. I was so drunk I swear I forgot to go back and get her. It didn't even enter my mind. So I go park the bike at a GF apt. But I forgot the code.

So I jumped the fence (ripping mt new Gerbaud jeans up) and pounded on her door till she opened.

The next morning my gf is like what happened to so and so? I was drunk and confused. So I was like WTF? Then my GF says the girl u had on the bike last night fell off and when you didn't go back and get her the cops took her to jail for public drunkeness.

About that time I sat up and was like HOLY SHIAAAAAAAAAT. I forgot to go back outside and get my bike inside the apt complex gate. Sure enough I go outside and the bike is gone.

It wasn't really my bike it was a friends and I had to pay a 20% deduc ($1600) for his insurance.

Yes, I think it was in BBV. It was a thread where most people emailed Adanthar and he posted them.

For those that know Phoenix it took place real close to "Pollock Joe's". Somewhere areound 43rd and Dunlap I think.

I once gave a kid whiplash and stepped on his leg with cleats on purpose. It was a high school football game and i was at defensive line. the kid wasnt able to block me in a standard way because i had more upper body strength so he decided to cut block me over and over again. we were up by a lot and i got sick and tired of having to avoid this type of block all the time. so i timed a snap well and grabbed the kids facemask and yanked it up and towards me and he hit the ground, as he layed on the ground not moving i ran over him and stepped on his back and back of his legs with cleats. after the play the kid was apparently in a lot of pain and was carried off the field, i was also called for a penalty and taken out of the game for the unnecessary roughness of the play.

when i was about 15 or so and the internet had just been invented I went on mIRC chat occasionally for many reasons. One day I found a channel for the city that I lived in with about 20 people in it. I chatted up a few randoms for a bit and eventually started talking to an actual girl my age. After a few sessions she invited me downtown to meet her at a local popular basketball tournament.

she told me what she looked like and where she would be hanging out. When I got there I saw from a distance. she wasn't fat or ugly or anything, she was however middle eastern, which I could care less about now but for some reason i was really put off by it. I didn't ever go up to her and talk i just left.

A few days later, I was drunkenly online in the chat room again and she was online. For god knows what reason I told her that I went down to see her but didn't want to talk to her because I thought she was ugly and then I went on and on with racial slurs and mean spirited chat.

she replied with the expected [censored] YOU, etc and I never saw her online again. I honestly have no idea why I did what I did. That was 10 years ago and probably the last time I've ever done anything mean spirited to hurt someone.

In HS a coach taught us how to break fingers/wrist when someone grabs your facemask - basically tuck your chin to your chest, drop to the ground while twisting your head - and supposedly how to pop someone's ACL - basically flex the joint backwards. I never used either but always wished I would have.

ya, we were taught that too, but never used it. ive broken a kids leg and arm before in football but that wasn't on purpose, they just weren't mobile quarterbacks and got hit hard
