Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
I am transitioning from playing sngs on Party to cashgames. I am sick of dealing with Party and hear that iPoker is softer competition. I have a few noob questions.
Does it matter what iPoker skin I choose? i.e. do they all share the same player base? What are my chances of getting iPoker rakeback? Does iPoker allow datamining? Any other comments on iPoker software? If it matters, I am going to play from 50NL and work my way up. I am an experienced Party $22-$55 sng 12-tabler but have a lot to learn about cash game intricacies before I dive right in. Eventually I will be playing close to full-time at much higher stakes, but I have no timeframe on this. If anyone can help me out with any rakeback suggestions that would be much appreciated. |
Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
I had the same dilemna as you when deciding what ipoker skin to choose.
After my research it seems that a lot of players go from one skin to another to get the sign up bonuses at each skin.(I plan to do this!) I've started at POKER UTD just cos they offer a 160% bonus. But thats because I only had a $200 bankroll. If you are putting in $600 you may be better off at another skin. They do all share the same player base, but each skin will also have its own private tournments for its players only. Forget about getting rakeback. Ipoker is a no rakeback network and things have really tightened up in that respect. Overall i've found the network to be as soft as everyone says it is. I've almost doubled my bankroll and all I play is small heads up sng's and i've only been on a few days. |

Does it matter what iPoker skin I choose? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, for bonuses, RB, etc. [ QUOTE ] i.e. do they all share the same player base? [/ QUOTE ] As on pretty much any network, yes, same player base. [ QUOTE ] What are my chances of getting iPoker rakeback? [/ QUOTE ] Pretty good...either RB or a points-for-cash equivalent. iPoker doesn't "allow" RB, but there's a thread about it in the A/R forum where you can post for offers. |
Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
Thanks a lot for your replies they helped a lot. Which iPoker software do you find easiest to use? I will be 4-tabling 6-max NL cash FWIW.

Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
Betfred and it isn't close. They have by far the best deposit/withdrawal system - pay money back on to your card, it'll clear in your bank the day after next, as many transactions as you like quickly processed with none of this "pending" [censored] of the other skins. Telephone support with friendly ENGLISH people at any time. And 100% deposit bonus up to $500 and points for rakeback. The only annoying thing is rather than proper rakeback once a month you get it as you play, $10 at a time (which means you don't notice it, use it to top up on a table etc). But it clears quickly at $1-$2 and up.

Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
Oh, and CD Poker is a rogue site, don't go near them. Robotic customer service somewhere in the Philipenes, and two weeks to process a cashout, before which you have to earn God knows how many points, send in photocopies of your passport, proof of address, front and back of credit card etc. There's none of this [censored] with Betfred. I hope CDPoker go bust, they are the worst skin I ever played on and I hate them. Don't give them your business.

Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
There is a guy selling an iPoker datamining program but there are issues around it - I believe all the data you mine, it shares back with their servers so they built their own database from yoru data. And there's no free trial, virtually all the features are disabled before you buy it. I don't think it can even open and close tables.

Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
NOIQ or BETFRED I would say - BetFred is owned by a big UK bookies and is absolutely solid financially.
NoIQ I use myself and they cash out to NT instantly.. |

I just would like to say that the competition at Ipoker is NOT very soft anymore. True, there is still fish and they will continue to exist but if you compare to other networks, it is muuuuch tighter. IOW, not the same fishy network as 12 months ago. |
Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
reason: all of these stupid threads. ipoker is full of 2p2ers now...

Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
I've been playing Ipoker for a few months and have an excellent cashback deal there with other perks. I started playing when PartyPoker banned Thailand and I've been pretty impressed. If you send me a PM I can send you details. I've been very happy with the room so far

Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
Can't say anything negative about CDPoker.
I'm a 4-star member on their VIP ladder, so there you get some special support with an own email address, which is very friendly and responds in time. Could be that their support sucks at lower VIP levels though. I also get a monthly 70% reload bonus, though I've not seen a word about this on their homepage. They even once gave me the bonus when I asked for it a couple days after I deposited. Could be also due to the VIP level though. |

Can't say anything negative about CDPoker. [/ QUOTE ] I guess you like 2-week cashouts and robotic non-native-English customer service, huh, and endless [censored] before you can cashout. By a long way the WORST skin I ever played on. There is just no reason for anyone not being held at gunpoint to pick them above the trustworthy and well-run skins like Betfred. Withdraw money from Betfred and it will be in your bank account in two days, the day after next. Withdraw from CDPoker, once you've sent in three or four unnecessary forms of I.D., and you'll get your money when? Two weeks later? Longer? |

Can anyone confirm that one can get an additional 50% pts if you are the first to sit down at a table on Titan?

They didn't change the date of a tournament, they opened it up to the network and delayed it by a month+ so that the guarantee would cover, as they were going to be liable for a 500k+ shortfall. Classy move. |

CD Poker actually responded to my emails, and after I sent them all of my documentation, they processed withdrawals very promptly to my Instadebit account. (When they used to offer Instadebit) When I went to withdraw from Betfred, I had to send them documentation for my CC. I sent it to them, and received no response for over two days. I emailed and asked why they hadn't gotten back to me, only to receive a shady response that basically said, "You have cleared our security, blah blah, your account has been re-enabled". My account was never disabled, I was just trying to get a bloody withdrawal. Their live chat support was lousy as well, saying they couldn't answer my questions and to email the people I had been waiting for a response from for two days. |

[/ QUOTE ] Sorry you had a bad experience with Betfred. I've found their customer support to be as good as that of Ladbrokes and William Hill, and by that I mean very good indeed. CDPoker earned my eternal hatred by their repulsive, inept, indeed almost criminal negligence in regusing to bother processing my withdrawals during this spinup: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...0&fpart=all I consider they effectively stole £2300 from me. Well, I'm a compulsive gambler, so maybe I was going to lose it anyway. But their pathetic disgusting cowardly failure to process my withdrawal was a contributory factor in my losing money which, had I been playing through a non-criminal skin, I would have had the freedom to withdraw, cool off, and consider what to do with. Once the money was out of my account I would certainly have been less likely to reposit and lose it all. I sent them photocopies of my passport, credit card, proof of address, signed confirmation of all my deposits, etc. I emailed them saying PLEASE process this withdrawal now. Twelve hours later and those [censored] still couldn't be [censored] couldn't be arsed to do it. [censored] them. I hate CDPoker. The worst site on the Internet. I hope they go the way of AP, only worse. |
Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
since you consider cdpoker as having effectively stole 2300 pounds from you, how much do you figure you are owed by the guy who first introduced you to the concept of a "spinup"?

[/ QUOTE ] Oh, like, a million dollars I just don't see why in a free market there is ANY reason for players to CHOOSE to sign up with a skin that, at best, will make it VERY difficult for you to ever cash out any money, and at worst will simply steal it. If that, however, is what you're looking for then may I wholeheartedly recommend CDPoker! |
Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
After I lost the £2300, I tried to deposit another like £25. It wouldn't let me, since I'd apparently reached their retarded weekly deposit limit of £200. Some [censored] from live support said to me "Well, you can increase your deposit limits by sending us photocopies of your passport, credit card and address." YOU MEAN LIKE I DID ALREADY WHEN I WAS TRYING TO WITHDRAW £2300 YOU [censored] PIECE OF [censored] [censored] BASTARD SCUM [censored] ARSEHOLE [censored] YOU!!!!!, I asked. The bitch threatened to suspend me from being able to talk to support.

Okay so we know withdrawing money from CDPOker blows goats.
But what about the user interface? I LOVE the Full Tilt interface. How does Betfair compare with CDPoker? |

[/ QUOTE ] Do you mean how do the graphics of Betfred compair with CDPoker? In which case they are pretty interchangabeable, just CDPoker is more green/yellow/black, while Betfred is blue/red/black. If you mean Betfair, I think both CDpoker and Betfred have better graphics. Pretty similar to Party imho - I like it. |
Re: Which iPoker Skin Should I Choose?
ipoker is full of tags lately, i'd rather go play on ongame or party.
