Is saying \"Check it down\" collusion?

Is this collusion:

I'm short and push all in late in trny and get 4 calls. 3rd caller says in chat "Lets check it down, right?"
(I had A6, flop ace and get sucked out by 67 on river. No one bets, not even trips 7's on river-but regardless of outcome this is either allowed or not allowed and I'd like to know)

Is this collusion or not? I was told it is and write FTP an email. What would happen if this was WSOP? What would FTP do about it anyway?

(If it matters, I would still be left with a med sized stack, but have a shot, or maybe at least cash higher)

Personally, I think it would be considered collusion if it was online. But that happens so much in ring games live.
GL with getting FTP to respond on this quickly. The fact remains that you would have still been knocked down because who is to say that further betting would have happened. Wouldn't that guy still make trip's if there was no action?

Technically, it probably is collusion. But most likely, it is just some idiot stating what everyone else was going to do anyways, as just about everyone knows you don't bet unless you have a hand in this situation.

in a cash game i squeezed, 1st pfrer - obv to CCer - "i call you call?" - "ok" - and they both call

emailed ftp - "we have warned player X blah blah blah"

I didn't contact FTP yet. I didn't because I wan't sure if this was technicaly legal or not.

But the main reason I didn't is I dont see what it will accomplish?

The trny is over already and the guy apologized. He claims he didnt know.

I'm thinking this kind of "subtle" collusion really has no recourse. A stern warning might stop him next time, but it won't stop the next guy who doesn't know.

FTP claims they'll do something about it if you ask them, but they really seem to just give warning after warning. It's unfortunate that they don't take cheating more seriously.

it this were stars I'd report it, they'd get a warning and a note on file so they cant pretend they 'didnt know' next time. on FTP...probably nothnig happens but send a quick email anyway...what harm can it do?

Report it.

The guy who said it broke a rule. The others did not. They have no more control over that guy's chat than you do.

you took words out of my mouth shoe. Also, this could not happen on stars since chat is disabled if someone is all in.

yep, it's collusion. It happens in real life too, except it's more subtle. In my casino, the first player to act will usually check in the dark when a player is all in with multiple callers - the obvious message being 'lets check it down.'

That is not collusion. What happened to the OP was. Report it and get him on a warning. Hopefully he won't do it again.

Re: Is saying \"Check it down\" collusion?

Collusion.

This happened to me at PokerStars last year. The players in question were experienced tournament players who obviously knew the rules. They had to forfeit their prizes.

EDIT: The players did this on multiple occasions IIRC. I'm not sure if that had an impact on their punishment or not.
