I want to keep smoking weed. I have to pass the drug test though.
 

In about a year's time, I know I will be taking a drug test for something. I'm a light weed smoker; about 2-3 times a month. I'm almost positive this is how it will work: I will be followed into the bathroom, but then they will leave and I can piss alone. I need help from you experts. Is there a pill or device that actually works that will get me to pass the drug test so that I don't have to curtail my weed use? Any personal trip reports? If not, how long do I have to abstain from weed to get it out of my system? Any other info I should know about this?

I will also be googling for information, but I just want to hear what some real, unbiased people, whom I know aren't trying to sell me a product, have to say about this.

I have no qualms about "cheating" the system and using some trick to fool the test, so please spare me any moral objections to this post.

Supposedly drinking water for the entire morning of your drug test (I am talking almost to the point of that thing where your brain swells and you die) will let you piss almost pure water with untraceable amounts of weed, if you haven't smoked for at least a a couple weeks.

if you can't lay off for a couple weeks, you might want to seek therapy.
edit: From the OP, sounds like you will have no problem doing this.

edit 2: I know a person who was found with weed in the trunk of his car who did this. So my post should not actually read "supposedly", it actually happened. I believe he was drinking out of a cup of water continously for 4-5 hours.

Yeah, I should add, I have no problems not smoking up for several weeks if I have to. I just don't want to abstain for several months. That would be lame.

They will notice if you dilute your test by drinking water, and many people will treat this as equivalent to failing. If you don't smoke that often, just quit for a while before testing and start again after you pass.

product called 'clean green zone'...find it at any head shop...

chug a vile of (disgusting) green liquod, take 2 pills, and chug 20oz of water...wait 15 minutes, take 2 more pills and chug another 20oz of water...

an hour later, you're good for 5-6 hours...doesn't clear your pee, just masks it. the pills' contents attach to whatever's in your piss, and make it too big to pee out, so it stays in you...

points for thinking ahead though...i couldn't see that far ahead!

My old singer was on parole and he had to pass them, as well as my drummer, although with him it was further back in high school.

First thing, don't assume that they will leave you alone while you take the piss. This is not the case anymore in most situations. There were too many people pulling the old "I'll just tuck a bottle of my buddes piss in my pocket to keep it body temp (which they do check for right away) and he doesn't smoke". So for the most part they watch you do it.

Next, if you really are only smoking two to three times a month, your best bet is to just stop it at least a month before the test. Chronic users, the THC can stay in their system for a long time. For light users such as yourself, it is often untracable several days after use. I would give yourself a month though to be on the safe side because this is a job and you don't want drama.

Things you can do to help flush your system. Exercise regularly. Stop a good week before the test. From what my friends told me, THC can be stored in your fat cells. Exercising resulting in the burning of fat can release THC that was stored earlier. Drink loads of water, but don't load up the day before the test. The other poster was right, if your piss is too diluted they will call the test a fail, or inconclusive.

Lastly, there is a product that my singer took and I can't remember the name (although I can find out if it is really important to you) where it masked THC. His first piss would come out almost orange. Then after that it looked normal. He passed several UA's while on parole using this stuff.

Since your so occational though, I would just stop it before the test like I mentioned.

Really? For some reason, I have it in my head that it would be traceable as long as I've smoked in the last few months. I guess that's only if you smoke a lot?

Whiz quiz is good for detection of a casual smoker for about 2 - 4 weeks after last use; habitual smoker is 4 - 6 weeks. Give or take.

Advice about exercise is spot on. Skinny people are clean faster due to less fat for THC storage.

Your fear of months of detection comes from hair tests. Those tests detect as far out as the company is willing to pay - the more hair is tested (starting at the root) the more time is under the gun, but it costs. Generally you are only going to get tested for 3 months worth or so. Don't think that shaving your head the night before will be effective; they'll just take hair off your arm or chest or somewhere else. And if you go in completely shaved, head to toe Olympic swimmer style, then you aren't getting the job.

Samples can now be tested for known masking agents (if the tester wants to pony up the cost). I'd veer away from them if I were you - no need to worry about those at your usage level.

FWIW, I smoke daily and had to pass a whiz quiz before I started my current job. I'm skinny and don't exercise worth a lick. I stayed clean for 30 days and passed fine.

I did do my homework on the web before the test - it's all out there, but it's been 2 years so I don't remember where the info was. Google is your friend.
