You're closing the action getting 20.75-1. Assign hand ranges to villains and use pokerstove to figure out whether you should call.

No, don't fold. You call... and lose less than 95% of the time.

I call.

Consider just calling the flop and raising a safe turn.

Very big pot, only one bet back to you and your last to act. Call.

Why would you do such a thing? You can protect your hand right now. This hand was played perfectly in my opinion if he calls on the end.

I dunno, I thought the pot was bigger than it was for some reason.

Chalk it up to variance? I guess that hand was in that 5%

Converter borked, says there are 6 players when there are only 5.

However, that said, this is Micros. Even with a bigger pot you're wasting your time waiting until the turn against unknowns. $Sklansky are nice to talk about, but you can't buy much with 'em, and "protection" in a .5/1 game means getting an opponent to fold, not to call with incorrect odds. The fact that they WILL call with incorrect odds = value, which is what you're really going for, and the way to make that happen is to make the pot big enough on the flop that they don't want to fold the turn.

As Abs said, Hero played spot-on as long as he called on the end.
