I call. Seems like he's asking for a raise.

Re: 200NL Give me a river line please
$75, fold to 3bet

Re: 200NL Give me a river line please
Ok before I go to bed... I don't think he's begging for a raise, but I don't think there's much value in raising either because he's unlikely to have Jx and not very likely to call with PPs lower than JJ. So either raise to some silly small amount like 60 and fold to a 3-bet or just call. I like raising to a silly amount best.

Re: 200NL Give me a river line please
I don't understand the raise options. I get that this is possibly / probably a small blocking bet by villain and a call is definitely in order, but why a raise? I can't see anything that he would call a raise with on the river. If this is a blocking bet on his part, then raising it seems better as a bluff, but not good when we have showdown value such as this case.

Re: 200NL Give me a river line please
I check the turn a lot here, and I'm probably going to call here until I learn what a bet like this means from him, but I don't think a small raise is bad either.

Re: 200NL Give me a river line please
Basically almost always your options here are call & call. Checking the turn definitely has merit in expanding the range of hands you can get value from your KK with and in minimizing your losses. This becomes a raise if A) he's really bad and you've been tango'in a lot and he will make a hero call..Otherwise save the raises here for the bottom of your range, and then if your caught adjust to achieve more value but even so not too much since it will be really easy to get the cookies out of the cookie jar.

[/ QUOTE ] He doesn't have a medium hand that can call another bet, that is more likely to call now than on a blank river. And we don't know what to do if raised, and don't care too much about free cards. |

When he has air, he fires river and you get another bet. When he has a pp like 88 alot of times they'll fire river for you or c/c a vb on the end. This is a two streets of value kind of hand and I prefer turning my hand into AK on the turn and "giving up"... |
Re: 200NL Give me a river line please
