Poker room rate for Las vegas hotels

hey guys, i tried using the search function for this but i suck @ the internet apparently, but I planned on going to vegas between Oct 15th to the 17th (mon-weds) and was lookin into getting a poker rate discount.

I was told previously to use http://www.allvegaspoker.com/ as reference at what rates I should be getting, and emailed wynn/bellagio/venetian about their rates. So far, only bellagio has gotten back to me. On the page it says 129/weekday, but in the email I was told it'd be 279/night after i play 6 hours each day. Am i getting gipped or is this page not accurate? Thanks.

Call the pokerroom for the latest and greatest.

The rates published on AVP are the regular rates provided by the poker rooms, but please keep in mind that the rates often fluctuate depending on the time of year. For example, you probably won't get the poker room rate anywhere in Vegas on New Years Eve and other major holidays. When big conventions are in town, the poker room rates also sky rocket.

yeh i figured that might be the case and i replied to the lady asking about the $129/weekday price and she responded

"That rate was 2 years ago"

I called bellagio poker room and they told me its $279/night weekday and weekend, I asked how come its not cheaper for a weekday and he replies that he doesnt know why.

Poker room rate for Sahara toward end of October is $85 Friday/Saturday and $60 weekdays. Manager said 3 hrs a day to qualify. Monorail stop allows access to east side of strip.

That's odd that the person you spoke to claims the regular rate is now $279. I'll look into it. You might want to check out Wynn and Venetian also.

What's the average non-poker room rate at Sahara, just for comparison? If you don't mind.

I am staying in the Sahara first week of Nov and its <$60 a night average including weekend (Orbitz). Stay at the Sahara but definitely don't get the room rate there, 1-2 NL doesn't even go except around the tournies, its 1 table of 2-4 limit about 18 hours of the day.

i am staying at wynn in early nov with poker room rate of $129 on weekday. If i recall correctly, it's $159 or $179 on weekends. I have email verification. I called the poker room to get these rates.

Just checked Orbitz. They quote Friday $157, Sat $168, and Sunday $101 for a total of $13 more than Sahara's site. I think that just demonstrates how wildly rates can fluctuate depending on when you visit.

I think the best thing to do is check ALL of the quotes from everybody and select the one that offers the "best deal" for your own unique needs.

In my case, my wife (attending conference) and I will be at MGM from Sunday thru Thursday paid for by her company. Once she's asleep (10 or 11PM each night) I plan on going down and playing $1-$2 NL all night. I'll have breakfast with her, if she has time, and then go to sleep. Rinse and repeat.

I don't want to pay MGM rates for a place to sleep so we're moving to the Sahara for their tournaments the rest of our stay.

In November, when I'll travel solo, I'll stay downtown for MUCH CHEAPER rates and take the DEUCE for $1-$2 NL visits to MGM and tournament trips to SAHARA and PH.
