Hero...

Whats the best option on this river? He was about 70/15 so he could have a pretty wide range of Ax or flush draws. We have about a PSB remaining on the river. Also, this deep do you guys bet more/less on the flop/turn?

Against a station I'm potting all streets.

I would check/call river for any amount.

In my opinion these types of players have Ax here a lot.

I just pot the flop and turn this deep. I'm lost on the river. Maybe c/c I dunno.

if i check and he shoves, i have to fold right? its soooo likely that he has a flush if thats the action...

c/c is by far the worst river play, everything we beat will check back and every flush (+random ass boat?) is going to shove.

i like betting a bit more on the flop and turn, sets up a river shove better and doesnt leave us in nearly as tough a spot if a spade falls.

as played....meh. depending on how bad he is, i might just shove, or else go for a b/f.

Re: I flop top two deep vs a fish, but the river brings the flush

I agree bet more on flop and turn. River is tough because his range is pretty much Ax or flush draw. If you check I think it would have to be c/f because he's not turning Ax into a bluff. That being said I'd probably just shove because against a player this bad he'll likely not fold Ax.

yeah c/c sucks, pretty easy vb i think, you arent deep enough to fold though.

Re: I flop top two deep vs a fish, but the river brings the flush

against a 70/15 I probably 3/4 bet the river. I'm never really folding if he bets, so I might as well extract from what i can.

This would be alot tougher against a different opponent

Re: I flop top two deep vs a fish, but the river brings the flush

Well I'd c/c a 1/2 pot bet probably but not c/c a shove. Guess we could bet like $50 and fold to a shove.

Against a 70/15 I'm shoving river.

Like others said you need to bet more on the earlier streets esp on that board that deep against that opponent.

Push. He calls Ax here a lot thinking that he is splitting a lot.

I'd bet / fold $50 or $60. Still a $100 to be saved if he has a flush, and you want to get some money from worse aces.

shove > c/f > c/c

Since we're deep I bet more on flop/more on turn

shove river.

Def more on flop and turn. Now bet the river. Probably shove.

Re: I flop top two deep vs a fish, but the river brings the flush

Bet more on flop and turn with a very strong hand on a draw heavy board. Doing that would make river decision even easier. A muppet like this has a range far wider than just a FD by the river and he will still call with anything of SD value that he's called thus far. I believe the correct play is to bet the river for value and since say there is about a PSB back I'd probably push - you'll get crushed by a flush fairly often but it's still the correct bet IMHO.

Re: I flop top two deep vs a fish, but the river brings the flush

we have ONE PSB left. I like betting a little more on each street, but meh. I bet 80+ and call the shove or just shove depending on how I felt atm.
