It would have just been an ordinary "u suck and lock" thread but given that NL Newbie posted no details whatsoever of why, who what where and how we were to sweat him I upgraded it to comic book guy status

Official bankroll... $661.48. +$211.78 for the month!

I turned it around almost all in final few days after breaking even for most of month by playing sng over cash. My plan this month is to do more of same and mix in some sessions of 25nl. In theory I'd like to play cash games more but I'm starting to realize they aren't my strong suit--I'd be winning quite a bit without rake, but as is just breakeven stretches of 40k sample. At least I'm not really losing in them. I know my biggest 'leak' and it's just flat out tilting, but I can't [censored] control myself. Meh.

No, because you don't get 100% of your rake back with the bonus, what I mean is generating $20 in bonus costs more than $20 of rake, so you still get 27% of that additional rake. September I cleared, I think, 160 of the bonus, and I'm getting about $100 in rakeback next month.

I love the rakeback.

I have officially decided that 50NL is 100% absolutely unbeatable. 15.5 buy-in downswing in less than 5000 hands. The last time I worked my way up to this level the resulting downswing knocked my roll from $1500 to $200. I can't win.

I'm going overseas for 4weeks soon, have some long flights and other travel times ahead of me, I'm looking for some reading material to take along. I've got like 3 books to take, it would be more but I have the weight of my luggage to worry about and they can add up.

I was thinking I could print off some of the good game theory posts. I've seen the best of threads and theres' a lot of material, anyone got any favourites or recommendations for 6max and mtt games?

I wish. PokerStars. I pulled up my graph in PokerEV and it's just sick. I should be killing it but I honest to god can't get a hand to stand up against someone with a decent size stack. When it does hold up, it's against some worthless short stack with $15.

the real question is, once you lost 400$, why didnt you move down? you can ask yourself the same question at -$600, -$900, and -$1200.

this has been my problem as well since I moved to NL 10. the biggest part being adapting to the change of pace and opponents. also having trust in yourself helps to diminish the tilt along with knowing that what worked at NL 5 is not going to work at NL 10.

However tonight I played headz-up with someone who said they play NL 100 and I have to say that once I am rolled for heads-up NL 50 I might only play heads-up. This is my third time playing heads-up against someone and every single time I have absolutely loved it, filtering my entire database for heads-up play shows that my bankroll loves it too

I feel your pain. After beating 50NL for over 100k hands, I'm on the sickest [censored] downswing ever. I think it's somewhere around 25 buy-ins over about 25k hands. Luckily I'm overrolled for 50NL, but man, this has been sick. The sad part is (and isn't this always the case), I feel like I'm playing my best poker ever. I rarely tilt, I've cut down on my # of tables to make better reads, etc.

Sometimes luck just isn't on your side (for extended periods of time, I suppose) As I write this, I just lost another buy-in. Full house over full house on the river. [censored].

Thing85 name on Pokerstars? Just wondering what you have me as.. _2_4_0_0

On a side note, I just went 3 for 3 in the 5400 fpp sngs to win 3 tickets to the Sunday Million! Definitely a roll booster when you can win 12 buyins at $50 NL in just over an hour of sit and goes [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]!!! WEEEE I'm pretty stoked about it now.

Thing85, if it makes you feel any better, I just had a guy on my one $50 NL table 3 bet me with 103o and then SMOOTH call a 4 bet out of position against my QQ. Flop was XX3 and I had the overpair... I put him all in on the flop when he hit his bottom pair... of course river is a 3.. and he says "thank you" and leaves... I just want to punch him, you know what I mean?
