Lodden\'s laydown

I tried to search for this figured it would have been discussed before. If you haven't seen it it's pretty sick.

he pretty much only beats a bluff. he didn't think he was bluffing. disciplined fold, but not that incredible given what i've seen from colclough

Hey, that's not a bad show, though. Good players, good commentators.

What are we looking at here?

Why exactly did he lay down a flush? Only quad 3's could have beaten him, no?

no....he couldnīt beat much although it is a very good laydown IMO

I'm confused... wasn't the flush ace high (or maybe it was a king, don't remember) clearly the winning hand, yet he laid it down anyway?

No, the board was 3s 6s 8c 3c Ks and Loden had Js 7s.
Therefore he would lose to 2 spades that included a Queen or an Ace as well as these hands: K3, 83, 63, KK, 88, 66 and 33. If he was against a weaker flush or AK then it was a bad laydown, but in this case he was against 8h 8s for a full house so he was laying down the losing hand.
