Update on the Cat Situation.

So it's a straight swap - pie, in this case strawberry, for cat. I spoke to my neighbors the other day about the fact that my ex-cat hasn't been around since the last full moon. They changed the subject to how they're worried about his ear but they can't take him to the vet, and then they looked at me and I got the hint. Oh, I see, you kidnap my cat but I have to take it to the vet. Interesting.....

So we have a kind of ritual now. Every ten days I happen to mention that I'm missing my cat. That there's a void where he once was. I normally do this in the morning. In the late afternoon they come around with a pie. What can I say? They won. Beware old Italian ladies. They're switched on.

Based on my imagination of what the average OOT idiot looks like I'd say this looks pretty normal. I don't automatically think "serial killer", which is probably what I would think for most people who post here.

Now, why do you really want your cat back? I mean if it gives some joy or companionship to these little old ladies then it's doing it's job. I think I'd tell them it's their cat now and they need to take it to the vet.

There seems something strange about that pie. Like its not just a simple crust filled with fruit, as it seems that the bottom layer is very thick. Is there some sort of a cake layer?

The people demand to know.

My ex-girlfriend at her marble workshop. I went down there the other day as I don't have a digital camera, and asked her to take a photo of me holding this pie. Obviously I had to bribe her first with some pie, thus the missing pieces.

She asked me why the hell I wanted a picture taken of me holding a pie. Thoughts flashed through my head of explaining that I needed it to post on an internet message board for a bunch of poker drop-outs with nothing better to do than to sit around calling each other out all day.

I then thought better and just told her to take the fecking picture.

I'm not sure, it's all eaten now. Here's a close-up of said pie. Failing this you could ask Nolanfan as he actually tasted the pie and seemed much more pie-knowledgeable than myself.

That crust looks like something you buy pre-made. These old biddies hand make their pies from scratch. So the crust is very soft yet firm at the same time. Delicious. I'm not forgetting they stole my cat though. Plus my cat is such a splitter. He completely ignores me now. I may have to do something drastic.

Anyway, off to work now, so I'll answer more pie and cat questions later.

Cats are pretty much free, and they're all about the same assuming you get them as a kitten. You got the good end of the deal here if you're getting free pie for life. I'm shocked that you aren't fat yet....eat more pie.

Adsman, my ninja skills are mediocre at best, and I'm not that interested in improving them. bascailly can i come live where you live and get lessons? i basically just need someone to show me how to be awesome and bang lots of italian chicks and eat pie and sh-t.

You forget about your cat until you're dying breath when you shed a single tear for your part in its demise.

Jeez, I make a post about a pie and I get half of OOT turning up on my doorstep. Naples? Not even close. Check out Nolanfan's Italy thread in El D's forum. He should be getting to the bit where he lobs in to my place soon.

The ex is coming around this morning with a white kitten that she says needs a home. Apparently the kitten has 'issues'.

Oh, and after Webber got knocked out of the race this morning by a young idiot who can't drive and DC sauntered around to grab 4th, I finished swearing at the computer and log on here to be told I look like DC??

ads, pie is good and all, but since these "biddies" are italian and all, im sure they can do better. you gotta upgrade to some homemade lasagna, stuffed shells and biscottis.
