October Challenge for MIDstakes
Petu and myself (regulars in the #HSMTT chan on IRC) are starting a challenge for midstakes MTT'ers all through October.
We'd like to know who else would be interested in a $20-$100 wager on this challenge. (Somewhere in there) Sites: Pokerstars, FT Buy-ins: CAPPED at $55 FO and CAPPED at $8r. - Point system TBD (prob like the one they do for the Sunday High stakes tournaments) and we will prob take top 10-15 tourney's to count towards points....but we want to discuss this first. Let me know if you're intersted and we will all agree to a system and set it all up. Let me know! |

Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
I'm ok with adding higher buy-ins if we can set-up a scoring system which does give you a chance to win even if you don't play that high. 10r will definately be added.

|
Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
I have a day job too, and prolly wonīt even put in more than max 20 tournies a week. So I will be dead money, but itīs good for motivation
|
Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
I am going to be out of the country for 9 days so I'll probably only put in 2000 or so

Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
100 tournies per day. Not a problem?

Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
I'm interested. I need to motivate myself to playing mtts again.
I think 100$ each sounds good for these stakes, right? And TBH, I rather not have 22r and 100 fo in this, but whatever. |

Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes

|
Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes

Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
id be interesting depending on rules byin etc
|
Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
I dunno, there's plenty of tournaments from 22-55 fo's and 3r-11r's daily. I think it should be enough.
The 22r is just one daily tournament, which just cost me on average a lot more than I want to spend now. I guess the 100 fo's are okay. |
Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
As I mentioned above, I am going out of town for a few days at the beginning of the month, but I'll be in for whatever up to $100 bet unless something drastic changes in the format. I'll ship before my first day of playing if that's cool...

Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
I might be interested if it is limited to say top 10 scores. If it's top 20 or whatever I wouldn't be able to put in the volume to have a chance.

[/ QUOTE ] This is a good idea, but generates a lot more work for keeping the scores. Traditionally these challenges run on stars only, but this time we're planning to include ftp too. Does anyone have ideas for formulas and how we should keep track on everyones scores? |

Re: October Challenge for MIDstakes
The one last year they just sent in the TLB e-mail from Stars which seemed to work well.
