Good Luck Chuck (the new Jessica Alba movie) has a Tomatometer rating of only 3%: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/good_luck_chuck/

It can't be that bad, can it? Anybody here seen it yet?

I read somewhere (maybe oot) that this movie is like 2 years old, and was going to be released and promoed as a "Dane cook is a player" movie, but then everybody reaized that Dane Cooke is the most hated man in America so they had to repackage as "Jessica Alba is hot".

He was just in that movie with Harrison Ford, so that can't be the case.

Btw, Roger Ebert gave the movie one star, and he's a guy very partial to judging a movie by its cute actresses.

There's a few more zeros and quite a few lower than 3%, but Ballistic has the lowest "adjusted" score ever at 1.5831.

This movie is the stupidest movie ever. The whole premise is that a big douchebag gets to have sex with everyone he wants and than spends 90 minutes debating whether or not to have sex with Jessica Alba.

It has Jessica Alba. I wasn't expecting it to be great, but getting the worst score I've heard of from RT means I might not even bother to watch it for free.

Yeah it doesn't seem like an accident that when we think of her contribution to the movie, it's her butt. Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock, or Renee Witherspoon, she's not.

100% correct. His agent, knowing how oversaturated Dane would be, took the Ben Affleck approach and did every movie offered to him. The one with him and Carrell that comes out next month doesn't look that bad, I don't think he'll ever be leading material, but could be used in small roles pretty well, like his role in Waiting.

Odd that the reviews are all saying this is a raunchy comedy a la 40 Year Old Virgin, but the commercials are acting like it's a romantic comedy featuring Alba as a klutz.

The trailer did mention the other aspect of the movie (the male lead having a hex on him), but that's not mentioned at all in the commercials.

Also, regarding the fact that the movie is actually two years old. I wonder if that is why the main character has the same name as the bad guy of season 5 of 24--it was made before season 5 aired.

i saw this movie, hoping it would be hillariously awful. it turned to be bad but in a not-funny way. there was actually a special effect sequence that was kind of cool. it won awards.

i dunno, maybe i was too stoned to recognize just how bad it was, if that's possible.

He's a hack. I have no idea how he became so popular, I mean stand up comedy is the one thing over the years where the very popular comics were more or less deserving, (Rock/Pryor/Seinfeld/Cosby) I don't dig someone like Larry The Cable guy, but you can't say the guy at least doesn't bring something different to the table. Cook is just pandering/unoriginal and cheesy. F him and his success.
