I really have no idea about how to interact with women. I was placed on ritalin between grades 4 - 6. In hindsight I see that this experience, and the after affects(which lasted about 2 years), caused me to be an anxious, irritable, and antisocial middleschooler because I was forcibly hopped up on legal speed.

I missed out on crucial life expericiences, namely flirting with and kissing girls during the innocent middle school stages. So I was behind the game when 9th grade came around, and afraid to admit this or talk to anyone about it so I just got further and further behind. Soon gave up on girls and became asexual. However, I'm quite wretched an dlonely, even with all my poker money.

I've gotten into shape and have turned into a reasonably handsome 20 year old, but my anxiety is still holding me back. There are sixteen year olds that are bigger players than me and that kills me to think about. How can I overcome this? Do I need Xanax? Will I get addicted?

You have a point. In hindsight I shouldv'e just manned up and started from scratch despite the initial embarrasment and adjustment it would've taken. However, I didn't and now I'm 21 in a week.

1. I doubt she's bumping to you on purpose. I'm willing to bet that she accidently bumped into you once and now you think that she loves you.

Here's what you should do: Just go up to her and say "Hi how are ou enjoying the course" and proceed from there. There's a lot of [censored] to talk about like whether or not this course is required for her, what her major is, etc etc. This should give you a rapport with her and build a bit of comfort.

Here's what you shouldn't do:

Fester your feelings of love for her secretly and do the goofyballer (ie make something out of something that isn't there; namely her bumping into her on purpose and being in love with you).

I lol'ed but I was in pretty much the same boat as OP. Whenever a hot girl said two words to me I would clam up and forget how to talk, going into college it was pretty clear to me that this was going to be a huge problem. First day of class I got there a few minutes late and looked for a spot and found a seat between two chicks and took it. Our prof gave us about 20 mins to introduce ourselves to the people around us so I was forced to open my mouth and try to make sounds come out. If you are interested in her, take Eric W's advise and just introduce yourself and chat for a bit, dont turn it into a 30 minute chat cause that will get you into the friend zone pretty fast. Talk to her each class for about 5 min or so, if shes interested she will probably start the conversation, after about 2 weeks of this, see if she wants to grab a coffee after class.

I've been in a similar spot. you definitely don't need drugs or anything.

in general: start w/ small stuff. short convos while ur standing in line somewhere, waiting for a class to start, etc. these situations will be free of any pressure, and let u build up confidence about starting up a conversation

dude...just relax. if she is always looking at you and bumping into you, she's either psycho, you are deluded, or she is interested in you. Assume it's the best choice of the three and just say hi how ya doing. the next day talk to her a bit more...it will get easier as you go. by the end of the week you'll be meeting her for coffee. don't be the guy who is 40 something kicking himself for not taking such a small chance. She won't care if you are nervous....

Just be yourself... I know this is hard to do, especially around girls you are attracted to but if you are an anxious person, that's who you are. Just get with another anxious girl that feels the same way as you, where you have similar interests and flaws perhaps...

Other than that, don't be afraid of rejections, you will go through many in your life...
