Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
You can't do this.
|
Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
0.5$ sngs is that a new thing they made for people like you?
|
Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
$100 to $10k is slightly more realistic

your RoR for even reaching 10$ is somewhere around 95% imo.

Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
I think it can be done. I cashed out last year and began playing in Feb with my leftover FPP. I cashed enough in the freerolls to get to $1. Played .01/.02 to get up to $85 in 2 months by multi-tabling and just playing solid hands. Then started playing .05/.10 and got up to $164. Then instead of sticking to my original plan of playing just cash games, I played a bunch of tournaments and dropped back down. I'm going to get back to my original plan of cash only and see what I can do.
I heard Chris Ferguson turned $1 into $10,000 online just for fun. I'd like to top that by starting with $0. Might take me about ten years though. lol and good luck! |

Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
The daily update.
lost and won a bit in 0.01/0.02, won 1$ full ring sng. Bankroll: 6.57$ Hand to remember: laying down JJ in 852r flop to see the aces from the opp. Notes from the way: a. play tight aggresive at low stakes. those full in people with bitterness on the system and the random num gen, people that will throw their chips in with a sigh of "i don't care anymore, this site is rigged anyway". b. watch the players. they are pretty easy to read. c. Damn it's hard. similiar to the evolution. from an ape to a human, 1 million years. from 1 cell to 2 cell, 1.5 billion years. turning 1$ to 6$ is THE sweat. |

Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
There was time when I played 7k hands of .01/.02 for 7k hands. I was 4-tabling, bying in with $1 and running when doubled.
My w/r for the whole period was 42ptbb/100 or so. My biggest downswing - $4.5 GL OP |

Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
Ignore the haters, OP. It can be done. I started with $42 that was paid as a rakeback referral bonus. Since I don't play on FTP lately, I decided to have some fun with it when not playing in a serious session.
Graph includes 1/2 and 2/4 NLHE. It all started with sitting at 1/2 NLHE and selecting "Full bankroll ($42.75)" Add another ~$300 from screwing around in PLO games. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...x/40to1200.jpg |

Re: From 1$ to 10,000$, the start of a journey.
nah, 3 days ago i still played .5/1 at Ub.
thanks for the cheering boys. I thought of making it a reality show, calling it "McBride, from Zero to Hero!". but im no irish and my name aint mcbride, so ill keep updating here for now. few things i gotta remember- 1- turbo sng's are much looser then regular. 2- when semi-shortstacked and get AA, allin. someone with 55,A7o or 9Ts will call. 3- don't chase straights. 4- sng's are safer from cash, better for busted. 4- patience. I won 3 1$ full ring sng today & lost 4$ at the cash tables. Bankroll: 10.76$ Faved moment: coming back with 200 chips, blinds 50/100, 6 op, to take the tourney. Jeez moment: 55 caught me bluffin with 26o. i played it badly. anyway, tmrw i am gonna play 2$ sng, maybe 5$. the goal is hiting 50$ till sunday. |
